Xu Xiaodong, the MMA fighter who destroyed that Tai Chi wind-bender wannabe Wei Lei, finally got another set of officially sanctioned fights together, this time against two self-proclaimed Wing Chun “masters.” The fights are epic and telling. One is by Xiaodong against one of the “four great Wing Chun masters in China” Ding Hao 丁浩. The other fight (3:57) is Xiong Cheng Cheng 熊呈呈 (not Yi Long, though they kind of look alike) against Ip Man lineage Wing Chun Master Yu Changhua (余昌华). Changhua is also Ding Hao’s coach or Shifu. Also, there was supposed to be no kicks, but there were kicks thrown. So if we looked at what happened, they basically followed Sanshou rules. These fights show what works and what doesn’t work, as well as the need for weight classes. Hope you enjoy our commentary and research on the fighters. I translated an interview with the second fighter (the bald, one-handed boxer) Xiong Cheng Cheng: https://youtu.be/Wu6IXAEr3Vc His story is very inspiring. He overcame everything to continue boxing. Hope you like my analysis and translation. Watch the second fight (3:57) between Xiong Cheng Cheng and Yu Changhua before you watch the interview.

  2. It’s pretty difficult to believe this guy is a wing chun master, tbf.

I call bulshido that these fighters are masters of their discipline.

This is just propaganda, you can tell by the stance, movement, athleticism, body language, that ain’t no master.

    Not a decent one anyway.

  3. When you questioned why he didn't throw kicks, I thought of "everyone has a plan until they get punched in the face". He prob never been in a real fight before and resorted back to his instincts which is to wildly swing with bad form.

  4. I'm not convinced that the wing chun master was much of a master, his techniques dropped as soon as he got close. Where as someone skilled at wing chun is skilled at close quarter fighting, and should be able to maintain their techniques close up, because that is 99% of the system.

  5. There is only a handful of people in the world who no real WC. There all off full of it. All wing Chun is fake. William Chun Barry pang tom lo. All Chinese scamers making money out of nothing. And there has been not one real WC practitioner who has come to the table not even one. To many people viewed Bruce Lee acting nonese

  6. I have to say while the MMA guy threw very good punches from a cloth grab clinch and while standing up its obvious he'd win
However I do not view the wing chun guy as a loser in this bout and neither should you because this man kept coming back again and again despite being punched and slammed down harder than he has ever been, he also abandoned the wing chun stance for a traditional Muay Thai guard which I believe came from instinct
Give this guy a year of hard Muay Thai training and conditioning and I know he has a good chance of beating the MMA guy. The reason I select Muay Thai is because of its dynamic kicking and elbows with aggressive punching and clinchwork it's alsi traditional how they like it. But considering he's Chinese he's probably not allowed to train that

  7. I knew this wasn't going to end well. You're not fighting a wooden dummy, but a live person who will move, fight back, I'm guessing the WC guy hasn't practice with someone who'll hit you back with all his might, and into your head. Mma guy is used to it

  8. Communism ruins kung fu. Xi jin the pooh obviously bribed and rigged the entire fight. Everything is all censored and edited. Communist party are trying to make up these stories who won the match and this match is all rigged.

  9. Eh to be fair the last fight the Wing Chun guy lasted with the mma guy, in my opinion it's embarrassing to even let the Wing Chun guy go past the first round.
