until 32 y.o. never played in "Big Five" leagues. Still a big difference between Portuguese football and Seria A.
A firm bench player so far after moving to Milan on free transfer. Big clubs have less patience because of competitive squad.
Asian players usually begin shining in smaller teams. Another Asian player Shomurodov bombarded 8 goals with Genoa before Mourinho brought him to AS Roma for 18 million. Maybe, a loan move to a lower team in the table and more game time to establish his name in Seria A.

The manager doesn’t play him in the league, they play ultra defensive and use him as a pressing machine in champions league and don’t create any chances for him, he creates for everybody else. Needs to leave imo. You can’t build up any form when you aren’t playing regularly.
