Anytime fighters are either in wars or get beaten up badly, they never seem to be the same fighter anymore. Certainly not when they’re in their late 30’s.
Tyson Fury, Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder are all in decline now. They’ve all had too many tough fights and they’re all nearing 40, they’re not the same fighters anymore and they’ll only get worse.
Despite Usyk being nearly 40 himself, he hasn’t been in many wars like the rest of them. That’s the one thing Usyk has over them. But even he will start to slow down and decline soon, if Usyk beats Fury he should retire on top.

Listen. We’ve only had Fury v Usyk because of Saudi money. Fury would’ve ducked it forever otherwise. It’s a disgrace that boxers who have parallel careers like AJ and Fury still haven’t fought after all these years. We lost AJ v wilder when it would’ve MEANT something. Whoever was ducking who SOMEONE was ducking someone for all these years. It’s ONLY because of Turki that any of the great fights have been made in the last two years. AJ Wilder and Fury were all suspected of ducking. I’m GLAD Usyk came along and made himself best of this era. Because HE takes fights and wins them. His mindset is incredible. 👍🇬🇧
