Ireland is not the #2 team in the world they are #4, new rankings South Africa, France, New Zealand, Ireland, Scotland, Argentina, England, Australia???
Irish people will always have huge respect for Joe no matter what, great to see Aussies back with a bang, I think they really put it up to ireland today, their future is very bright.
he basically took Ireland to #1 spot in the world, i think hes the best attacking coach in the world, As a kiwi im getting nervous about the next Bled, got Africa in our sights now Aussies in our Rear view
Well done Joe and team! Always proud ! Skelton,Kerevi, Rob Leota, Marika, Porecki, Alex Hodgman, etc maybe to come in?,! Looking better with every game, and, more importantly creating depth! Nat Cleary might help too!
Yo Smith is a class operator
Australia is obsessed with the 'Good Lose' syndrome……with that….that is all they will achieve
Aussies on the up great to see
Joe, great job! Your team played well today and you should all be proud of your progress this year. Losing to a strong team like Ireland is no shame, especially after such a great performance.
I'll be honest, this morning when I switched on Stan for the replay, I was pleasantly surprised that we hung in there against Ireland and gave ourselves a real chance of knocking them over. Of course, if we want to be the best, we can't be happy with a close loss. But I seriously thought we would be in for a hiding. So well done Wallabies, Coach Schmidt and the entire Coaching Team. Hats off to you all.
There's just something about Joe Schmidt that has you hanging onto every word and wanting to hear more of what he's got to say. His knowledge, calmness and willingness to be open and honest, is refreshing. Just as importantly, he has the Wallabies heading in the right direction, improving and believing in themselves.
Great game Joe – when are you coming home 🏴
Australia played well. Should've won the game even though they're not at their best. There is no such a thing here that the Ausies caught Ireland cold. Ireland looked rattled as the Ausies caused problems for them around the ruck. Ireland's lineout looked very shaky.
Joe Schmidt is a class act. I wish he was still with the All Blacks.
Brutally honest Joe.. best way to be✊🏼
"Says little does lots" great line
Australia will become a huge force in world rugby very very soon, hopefully we Wales can follow them 🙏.
Aussie is building nicely, a great first northern hemisphere campaign! Well done Joe! From NZ 🇳🇿 👏
Well done Ireland… but hats of to the Ausies. What a 2024 comeback!🇿🇦
Why did New Zealand rugby let Joe go and hire a coaching team that has no idea what they are doing the clowns we have now will destroy the all blacks
😊0p
Ireland are already off the boil with Andy Farrell stepping down to lead the B&I Lions in 2025.
Still the best in the U.K. & BI but second to France in Europe & third to SA Boks & NZ Blacks in the world. So yes actually far more realistic & honest if Ireland saw their current team as 4th best in the world.
No question IRB world rugby ranking system is flawed, has been for over a decade. 1-5 would be SA Boks, NZ AB’s, FRA, IRE, SCO. The rest of the rankings almost up for grabs on the day with ARG, AUS, ENG most regularly being in that next tier, followed by ITA, WAL, PAC Island nations etc.
But as another commenter aptly put “opinions are like a-holes, everybody has one & nobody really wants to hear or see anyone else’s”!
The Wallabies ran Ireland and the All Blacks very close (3 points). That's good enough to beat the British & Irish Lions and to be in the top 6 teams when the draw is made for the next World Cup.
Not your average Joe… He Made Australia Great Again!
Another dreadful irish performamce against a lowly ranked side, who scotland destroyed.
Getting better by the game. Confidence is coming up.
