  1. my dad is a leeds fan and he says u ain’t nothing but a glory hunter AND u lost ur fire anyway tho when u left leeds bc u didn’t get that much game time

  2. he was given chances at city, not once did he take them and not once did he look decent or that he belonged at city. he just looked lost, like he zones out for a second before realising what he needs to do and where he needs to be. those lapses in concentration prevent him from being a good enough player at city. technically, he's really good, but tactically, he's a liablity. as a city fan, i'd rather us play any of the academy lads than him. he's just not good enough.

    i'll happily eat humble pie.

  3. He said very similar when he was at West Ham. The truth is, he just isn’t very good. He wasn’t a great player before Bielsa, and he wasn’t a great player after Bielsa. Ipswich is probably his level, and it’s no surprise to me that Ipswich won their first game without him in the squad. He seems a good lad and I hope he can turn it around, but individually he’s not there anymore. It’s a shame, but good players don’t fall this low.

  4. cant lie, as a town fan, we look better without him lol…. but i will say , there is a good player in phillips and we are seeing it more and more each game he does play.
the red he got against leiceter was insanely soft and we all know should of never have happened cus of the pen we should have got.., sadly the media hyped his red in the wrong way and no media platform or pundit acknowledged how well he did play that game …he was on course for MOTM imo. also no town fan will hold him for that redcard,
he just needs to keep playing however most of his game time should come from off the bench, purely because we now have a proven better central duo in morsey&cajuste

and personally i dont believe hes been watching us throughout the last 2 years lol, hes just greatful for some reason we chose to pick him up and give him a chance

  5. Sometimes you just need to hold your hands up and admit you weren’t good enough. Nothing to do with “fire in the belly” or any of that mental health crap. Just own it – you were pretty poor.

  6. It’s so ironic, that pep let him go & now with rodri & kosovic out city wouid die to have a player like him. Now city are on the worst run of form in their regent history. What a crazy turn of events.
