I'll tell ya what's up, we signed him unfit, he never had a proper pre season at Lens cos Will Still just didn't fancy him so we signed him even though he was nowhere near ready, then he picks up 2 knocks in training and now we'll be lucky to see him before the new year, don't get me wrong I was over the moon when we signed him cos this man has champions league experience and a full international with Ghana and someone that should be a cut above the championship, similar to Mepham, I hope when he is fully fit he'll still contribute something to the squad between now and the end of the season but if not and he has more setbacks or struggles due to no pre season then that's what the club gets signing someone unfit to begin with and the 2 knocks in training is just the typical Sunderland medical team or cursed training ground 😂
I’m generally confused about some of our team selections and lack of squad rotation. RLB keeps saying it’s a long season doesn’t use the full squad at appropriate times. I’m thinking certain players need minutes to sharpen them up. We knew we had players on 4 yellows but did nothing to ease in replacements….
Hi Cabbie – Samed was signed with a minor injury in expectation that he' be back to fitness in a few months – he's valued at 28m euros, so Sunderland would have a top class DM for first time in years. So a reasonable decision, just bad luck he's had setbacks. Sunderland have regularly given updates on his fitness. Why would anyone imagine he's not injured and Sunderland are lying about his fitness and not playing him? Talk about lunatics taking over the asylum FFS!. Jim
This squad has no strength in depth that will ultimately be our downfall this season cracks beginning to appear last 3 or 4 games signing injury prone players obviously doesn't help but again we are past masters at this, definitely won't be top 3 at Christmas but so far I've enjoyed the ride.
Hi Cabbie, I've just found out my cousin, Bernie Fagan has passed away, he joined SAFC when he left school at 15, and was there for 5 years he moved on and played for 9 other teams, then went to USA playing Los Angeles, with George Best, then moved to Oregon Timbers, and passed away last January, look him up on Google
