Premier League referee David Coote has been suspended pending an investigation after a video showed him making offensive comments about Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool. Coote has been involved in multiple controversial incidents in Liverpool matches, including five VAR overturns. These include disallowing a Sadio Mane goal against Manchester United, ruling out a Jordan Henderson goal against Everton, awarding a penalty to Liverpool against Everton, canceling a penalty for Everton, and sending off Nelson Semedo in Klopp’s final game. Three of these decisions favored Liverpool.
