Absolutely right on the free kicks – his deliveries were so consistent.
7:We must have had that as a tactic for this game, because we won at least 3 free kicks in the exact same area. If you try the exact same thing 2-3 times versus once, you are so muchore likely so score because you've just practiced and watched it play out.
I think Rice was great there and is definitely best in the 6, perhaps best in a double pivot for him but he's more than capable as a single.
So good at driving the ball forwards and being calm in that area.
For me his biggest problem (it's minor) is that so often when he gets one of his lovely jab tackles in, it goes right back to the opposition.
There is an art to just backing off a bit and timing the challenge slightly better to maximise the chance of actually turning over possession.
Im still so mad at how we concede that 2nd goal. I think Martinelli should've done better than that! Such a terrible control. . .

We didn't fail… our win was stolen from us… no penalty for martinelli and a goal disallowed which in other games especially when it's a goal against us, the goal stands.
