talkSPORT’s Alan Brazil and Ray Parlour react to Al-Hilal’s Kalidou Koulibaly speaking about fellow Senegalese footballer, Nicolas Jackson, and why he believes the Chelsea player can not only become one of the best footballers in the world but be in contention for the Ballon d’Or and place at least in the top three of the competition.

  1. To be honest, with the rate that he’s improving, he can be one of the best in the world. But balon d’or? Nah

It’s no secret that he couldn’t afford a pair of boots 6 years ago when most lads his age have been in top academies since the age of 6/7 so it makes sense that he was still a bit raw when he signed

  2. It's unlikely obviously but its not impossible. If Jackson sorts out his finishing then he will be 1 of the best strikers in the world. From then on, who knows

  3. Why can't he? He has improved really well over the last year, his output has been consistent so far, and he has been doing a lot more than scoring goals. He has got actually good technical ability with him, which a lot of strikers lack, and his link up play has been great as well. I wouldn't rubbish this claim like alan has, but it will need a lot of consistency from him and chelsea would need trophies. As of now, cole palmer is more likely to win a ballon dor than nico jackson

  4. Who are you to say he can't get to that level? That's hate, that's not punditry. I saw Luis Suárez at Ajax and his early days at Liverpool, good player, but no where near the level of Balon d'Or. But boy, few seasons later, he was one of the best players in the world. Never say Never. I wouldn't lie, Jackson's improvement has surprised me. Most good strikers these days are clinical, but they can't beat their man, they just score goals. Jackson is not just a goal scorer, he can actually beat defenders, in fact, I'll argue he can play wide, that's how good he is. So, Never say Never
