  1. This whole conversation is bs. Why do people think there is a US soccer team at all. America makes a fool of itself. Suggest it stay with baseball, making war, basketball, increasing its nuclear arsenal, football and telling other countries what to do. Let the European and Latin American countries have their national sport. Something that everyone else is better at than the Americans and that doesn’t kill people. A truly beautiful game where fans can take real pride in their country. Now that is a concept truly foreign to Americans.

  2. Stop with the Golden Generation talk It’s been 30 years since World Cup 94 and the US hasn’t even produce a top 25 player. I’d take the 2002 WC team over these guys any day. These guys aren’t playing at the top clubs in Europe they’re just playing in Europe. We’re not fielding a team with players at Barcelona, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Ajax, ManU, Man City, Arsenal, and Liverpool we’re fielding players from mid level to bottom level European clubs.

  3. Please, no disrespect. But y’all have had all summer to think about this and start doing journalistic work to talk about real names. Get on it and put opinions out there. The answer is not Greg clearly. Who is it?

“Not our job to come up with names”? Come on, what an excuse.

  4. Debacle? Really? Debacle is an understatement!!! US needs a different coach. Unfortunately we need a coach outside the current system. Get a fiery coach like a Herve Renard. A no nonsense coach that cares about winning the right way.

  5. Yes, berhalter should he done. He has failed miserably. You dont need European pedigree l because thats a bit overrated. You need a person who knows how play players dependent on the circumstances. Its really not that hard. Frankly its pretty easy. But all in all, Greg will he gone hes to conservative and not up to this level.

  6. the whole "what if we can't get someone else better" mentality is why you ended rehiring Berhalter. And guaranteed if you say that, and Berhalter underperforms again, you have no right to say we need a better manager again, because that is your fault

  7. Exactly the players individually have put in the work with their clubs in Europe. Then they come back to king Gregg and we get grouped. That's the coach. He's been the problem the whole time. And give it to an interim coach if you don't have someone right now. Get rid of the coach now to save this generation.

  8. I think Jenny is right. We all think these great managers might take the job if we would pay them. But I don't think that is the case. We think to highly of the positions. To get Klopp for example USSF will need to give up some control. To get Klinsman, USSF gave up control. But I do think if Crocker was not preparing for this moment he isn't a very good director. The writing was on the wall and the possibility that a change was necessary was very real months ago. It is summer so a lot of European coaches are available or willing to move. Then there are the Olympic coaches that become available in a month. But with BJ going to Nashville we don't have a readily available interm coach. I guess Micky Varas.

  9. Delusional US fans didn’t even know that they needed to beat Uruguay to stay in the tournament, didn’t even know that Uruguay was a good team, it’s honestly no wonder that this program is mediocre when it has delusional moronic clowns for fans

  10. Jenny Chiu not hearing the concerns and taking them seriously is why the sport is a joke here. Instead of mimicking what's succeeding all over the world, they're trying to Americanize it. And when the nation is standing up and stating that Berhalter has to go, the US organization is disregarding it like Jenny Chiu did here. She's not listening to the panel and she's not making a good case for her nonsensical argument.

  11. Matt Crocker is as much a part of the problem as Berhalter. USA Soccer is rife with nepotism and weaponized incompetence and pay-2-play has rotted the USMNT from the inside out.
