Happy to see football wins! Gives a perspective that any players regardless of position can win this award. Bring back the art of football, not only about numbers and stats on papers.

Massive congratulations to Cityzen Rodri. Rodri was absolutely the best player in the world last season and and THE DESERVED Winner; no doubt about that. It is crass that Vinicius Junior (VJ) and his club are so deluded and self-absorbed that he and they think he should have won the Ballon D'or. On what basis is VJ the best player in the world? Yes, he was an effective goal scorer for RM in 2023/204 but he scored only 24 goals, the entire season. If I may remind those cry babies, Erling Harland of Man City who was injured for a quarter of the season scored 38 goals, whilst Kylian Mbape and Harry Kane scored 44 goals each. So, what entitled VJ to the award? Nothing, other than misplaced ego-centricism and delusion. I am surprised pundits haven't raised these points. As for VJ and his RM contingent, I hope FIFA don't invite or include their players and / or manager(s) to future awards for the next 5 years as punishment for the snub they gave to last night's event. They conduct was abhorrent and a disgrace.
