As a Liverpool fan my thoughts on Trent possibly moving to Madrid is that why would he? I understand that Madrid are the biggest club in the world, noted. I also understand the appeal to play for them especially for the South American players but why would a local Liverpool lad want to grow up and play for Madrid? Apart from the obvious money of course. Now let's say Trent does move there, my thoughts would be that Madrid have been our biggest rivals/hurdle in the UCL for a few years now, we lost to them twice in the finals and once in the semis in recent years. Why would you then go and join them? It's like he wouldn't go and join Man City because they're our rivals in the league which I get. But Madrid are equally our rivals and have been for many years.

I don't know whether Trent really wants to move to Real Madrid or anywhere, but if he wants to leave then he can leave.
