With Licha on the left we don’t need Shaw anymore
Id play martinez in the carrick role , technically our best player that understands the cover our defenders need
Man utd should play 3-5-2
onana
Yoro De ligt Martinez
Kobbie Casemiro
Maz Bruno Zirkzee Dalot
Hojlund
Maz/Dalot Leny De ligt Martinez
Great stuff. Also, I like Rashford coming in off the right.
Better at cdm tbh
Bro you make a lot of videos
He should play defensive midfield. His range of passing tackling skills and team leadership skills would galvinise the whole team.
+ve martinez is great at attacking play.
-ve he is not a good crosser of ball. remember that.
Definately yes at the moment and in future too when Lenny becomes fit and even as DM when needed, we need a player like Licha who bleeds for Man U
This is why I'd prefer a 5 down the back formation once Leny Yoro comes back from injury since our defense especially when it comes the set pieces gets too shallow, like realistically only like 2-3 of the starting players would be able to win an aerial duel and that's definitely not good enough when your Goalkeeper doesn't like to come off their line to claim crosses anyway. 5-2-3 would be the starting shape then defense would be a 5-4-1 then in possession 3-4-3 utilizing both fullback in the midfield without leaving the defense line helpless. Licha would definently help out who ever is on the left side till shaw comes back till man Utd get a left back while De ligt can man mark the danger man / striker leaving leny to be that sweeper since onana hasn't proven to anyone that he can leave his 5 yrd box anyway
Considering that in possession we were in a back 3 does that imply a possible back 3 either for ETH now or for a new manager.
convert him to that position I he can play better
System work with a natural left footed player.
Body of evidence is small, but based on the evidence we do have, it works. Well reasoned extrapolations ler usual. Cheers
I'm still unsure. He did struggle earlier this season at LB. The last game was good but he'll need to do that more consistently for us to say he can play there.
With Yoro coming back, I don't mind ETH trying him at LB and Dalot will help in the middle.
imagine Jared branthwaite & the development Erik will do to him as a complete upgrade to lisandro out of possession, & just a top CB at a very young age, not for getting his versatility across the whole back 4 honestly
Great analysis again. I didnt realise how much martinez playing there makes us so much less predictable
The role suits him and I think we'll see quite a lot of him there this season. Obviously Evans will need his gametime managed but so will Shaw/ Malacia (if they ever return to their previous levels). I can see Martinez starting virtually every game this season, either at LB when Evans starts or at CB when Shaw/ Malacia start. Good to have that flexibility but United to need to sign a left footed CB next season… How's Hato been progressing?
