Somebody needs to point out to Gregg that the key to having possession with a 4-3-3 is by using a player who can dribble up top and create scoring chances by himself. Like Messi, for instance. That's how you cave a defense in and make their mids all D-mids. You can't do it with a forward like Jesus who can't dribble, shoot, or pass. He's been doing wrong for years.

Considering the fringe player no one expects to get a lot of minutes Morris gets a seat on the plane, why wouldn't Pepi or Pefok get that spot? We have plenty of players to chase and pressure, we need folks to put the ball in the net. If the USMNT is in a spot in group play that says, hey we need a goal, get ready Morris we're in trouble.

Pefok stands out to me as a guy whose quality in the air is useful not only when attacking but when defending. we can say "high line" or whatever but we're going to be defending a lot. we might outplay some teams but we can't count on dominating any of the teams in the Group, let alone beyond the group stage. we'll see what Haji Wright is like, tho. good luck to the national team. Gold Cup champs, Nations League champs, and back at the World Cup. I don't have much to complain about

This coach has a robotic system that doesn’t allow for creativity! This is why he has left Gino Reyna on the bench so far. Gregg Berhalter will never beat the big European and South American teams. He can draw with them but he leaves his most creative players in the bench or at home!!! Average coach from an average league.

Greg forgot that in order to compete Internationally in the world cup you need diverse talent. Ricardo Pepi being a Mexican American player understands how Latin Americans play futbol. He would have added to a better overall iq for the team. Greg got too caught up in his ego. We need a coach that wants to play the best talent period. No more favoritism, just whoever is the best plays.
From the past, present and now in hindsight, Gregg Berhalter was the main problem of the USMNT in Qatar. He was outcoached in the last game vs Dutch. He betrayed his players especially Reyna. He proved himself to be unqualified for this young teams future especially for 2026.
Greg Berhalter needs to go. The way he handled the Gio situation and his tactics and selection. Who tf tells a player “you’re not going to be playing in the World Cup much” and expects them to give 100%. Like are you stupid?
