Giovanni ‘Gio’ Reyna made his senior debut for Borussia Dortmund at the age of just 17 years, two months and five days. It makes him the youngest American player in Bundesliga history, but he’s already taking on an ever-greater role in Lucien Favre’s team. He constantly shows what he’s capable of, whether it’s his incredible maiden goal against Werder Bremen in the DFB Cup or his assist for Erling Haaland in the 2-1 win over Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League. Reyna has proven he has the potential to achieve something great. Do you agree? And who do you think is part of the Bundesliga’s next generation? Let us know in the comments.

  1. how does Dortmund produce so many stars? Why do they always sell? Shouldn't they just say, fk it, we are a super power, lets keep our stars and compete with the world?

  2. why are there more young american “superstars” than mexican ones? I am absolutely sure there is way more talent in Mexico than in the US, so what’s the reason that there are barely any young Mexicans on temas like Dortmund?

  3. On behalf of every American, I would like to thank Dortmund for taking two of our most promising prospects/players (Pulisic and Reyna) and helping them develop (hopefully) into great players. Thanks dudes. You rock.
