building around Saliba and mavropanos seems a wiser decision to me

I agree with what most people feel about this transfer. He isn't a bad player by any means but he isn't a big enough upgrade to be our starting CB and with Saliba, Chambers and Mavrapanos I don't think we desperately need him for depth either. Plus the Lyon president ensures he would probably end up costing too much.
I think RCB just isn't a priority this summer I think Holding is a good defensive CB with surprising passing ability ad Saliba is a real talent we need to give serious minutes to next season so for me go spend the money on a RB, another keeper (as backup or starter if leno really wants to go), ideally 2 CM's, LB cover and a Number 10 like Buendia or Odegard who can compete with ESR.
The stats almost made Mavrapanos look like a beast, then came the foul stats. If he makes 1.44 fouls per game at arsenal he will be getting sent off often.
Great content Tom. I would rather see us bring back Saliba and Mavropanos to fight for the RCB spot with Holding/Chambers as we need to spend that money in other areas such as RB (Aarons)
Good insight again 👍This Andersen guy isn't bad either and our current and loaned out players all have a shout to be picked and areas that they are good in. Areas of weakness in our defenders like being easily outjumped and out paced is of more concern to me in the EPL
I agree. We need an experience partner for Gabriel because it hasn’t worked with Holding
Great insight but we should not be looking at a centre back. No way the club should be allowing Arteta another centre back. He’s had 2 x £30M defenders in the last 2 years. Develop them and use them! Saliba & Mavropanos have been very very good for their respective loan clubs.

5:30 What’s funny is that we haven’t been vulnerable from set-pieces this season, especially in the league. I think only a couple teams have conceded less from set-pieces this season.
I like Rob holding I think he gets better the more he plays .
