The hate Pickford gets in England is baffeling, he has saved your participation in big championships more than once. Guess it comes from an deep root in the up stuck English mentality where standing out from the crowd is horrible. Souness who is a redshite is born to trashtalk Evertons players, nobody that matters really care about his meanings.

Pickford has had 2 bad games in 70 for England. How many good games has Phil Foden had? And nobody questions him 😂. And he's actually got competition. Pope has got 2 left feet, Ramsdale and Henderson are both bang average, etc.
Pickford always turns up for the big games. Pulling out world class saves and pen saves. But as per usual, the England GK can't do anything right…
Complain when he hits it long, complain when he makes a mistake playing it short. Whether people like it or not, his long pass is effective and he's ok with his feet (but nowhere near Ederson/Allison level). But it helps when you use it in the right way. DCL is the best aerial presence in the league. But Kane/Watkins don't play that way. It's up to the coach to decide what's best and get the best out of his players. Especially the defence which has been appalling.
Never mind the fact that he was the best keeper in the league last season. 2nd highest clean sheets behind Raya with better save percentages. And he's been huge for Everton's survival the past 3 seasons, picking up a save of the season along the way too.
So many short memories. Give some respect. He has plenty of credit in an England shirt. It's the outfielders who have failed us, not him.
