Germany’s dominance was evident from the start. Before the second minute, the hosts had a goal, but Jamie Leweling’s shot into the back of the net was ruled out for offside by Serge Gnabry. Beyond that, the play was a free sample of how little the Netherlands offered in Bavaria.
Germany continued to control the first half. After 27 minutes, Gnabry reached the byline and passed back. Leweling fired in for revenge and Stefan de Vrij saved almost on the line. Two errors by the Netherlands were then squandered by Tim Kleindienst and Gnabry.
In the second half, Leweling scored and Germany celebrated against the Netherlands
