Hey everyone, welcome back to the channel! Today, we’re diving into England’s 3-1 win over Finland, in which Trent Alexander-Arnold took on a new challenge at left-back.
Trent, usually a right-back, was shifted to the left flank by Lee Carsley to make room for Kyle Walker. And while he had a few defensive struggles—losing possession 19 times and failing to win duels—he still made a major impact.
His standout moment? A sensational free-kick that gave England a much-needed goal. Trent also led in touches with 130 and made 95 accurate passes. He was key in starting the play that led to Jack Grealish’s opener.
Trent’s versatility showed, but there were some rough edges defensively. Will he be playing more in this role for England? Only time will tell!
That’s it for today! What did you think of Trent’s performance? Let me know in the comments, and don’t forget to like and subscribe for more updates on England’s campaign.
