5バックで守りに徹するオーストラリア相手に1点取れたことは大きな価値がある。谷口のオウンゴールは事故のようなものだから気にする必要ない。
何より覚醒した中村敬斗が三笘と共存できることが分かったし、日本がまた一段階上の強さに行ける可能性が見出だせた。
