West Ham United have supposedly hired top lawyer Nick De Marco to assist in the case against The FA however this has been denied by a top source at the club

  1. There is far too much speculation, unknown and presumed content around Paqueta’s predicament, certain people are releasing little snippets, true or false, until the actual hearing and facts are presented for the panel to adjudicate, it’s all guess work. The only thing for certain is Paqueta’s performances have been affected by this, but we need to compare his performances between international and club to know if it’s truly affecting him or he’s just taking the money.

  2. If they have given he’s phone back then they can’t charge him for not giving it back and destroyed it then it’s their own fault if it’s evidence they should of kept it, imagine in court your being charged for running your phone over in your car 😂😂😂

  3. Am I allowed to say I’m tired of the Paqueta circus?

If he’s guilty, West Ham have got screwed. If he’s innocent, West Ham have got screwed. His value is nowhere near 85 mill anymore, and he hasn’t played to his abilities in a season and a half. Basically, West Ham have been utterly screwed on and off the pitch.

Re: Pablito, I love what he says about his son and how much he loves West Ham. He was born in the UK I believe, so home grown. Get him into the Academy.

  4. I think the FA are worried bcos like you mentioned West Ham have lost out on a transfer, I mean he hasn't even been same player since this came out so they've cost us points and positions which is money again..! If the FA lose not only does Paqueta have a case against them so will we..!

  5. I just dont get how anyone can prove that paqueta purposely got yellow cards. All you have to do is watch him for a few games and you'll realise he's very aggressive in challenges and often goes for challenges he's not likely to win, hence, he picks up loads of silly yellows.

  6. I worked with one of his previous coaches, who upon discovering I was a Hammer, and unbeknownst to me — contacted Pablo to record a surprise personal video msg – what a top bloke!

  7. Which one of us can control what any member of our family gets up to,,,, the FA has made a complete mess of this situation , I believe our player will be exonerated ,,,,they will have to pay him compensation

  8. Been saying this for a long time Geo, if he is found not guilty, we must throw the book at the FA and sue them for as much as we can.

Loat £85m transfer fee, missed out on signing Cole Palmer and look how his value has rocketed, and in addition compensation for Paqueta for not playing to his best and the distraction. Go for the jugular with them

  9. This case is based on the ‘balance of probability’ not ‘beyond reasonable doubt’ ……that is the nub of the matter and may make it more difficult for Paqueta.

  10. The thing with the trusted 11 idea is that it sets a standard that other players have to work to achieve. If you look at Man City almost every position is locked down. For the rest it is bits and pieces. Just look at Kalvin Phillips and Rodri. At the start of our European adventures Fornals briedly held the title for most European appearances by any West Ham player.

If you want to build up a club you have to set standards and maintain them. Then you must set new goals and achieve them, then make your old goals your new standard.

It seems harsh but that is why few teams in the last few years have achieved what we have. If you list all the premier league clubs who have won a trophy in the last 4 years and finished top 10 three times it is a pretty elite group and we are in it.

I think missing Europe last season was a two edged sword. I believe if the transfers had worked out better we would still be in Europe. Maguire and McTominay were key. Maguire for Zouma and McTominay would have meant no need to try out Phillips.

But I think the extra games have taken their toll on the squad and probably cost 8-10 points per season. Now we have time to train hard and work on things in training without that distraction.

  11. The media team script hammers news need to have a rethink about what they write.telling fans bowen wanbassaka and kilman should feel.hard done by not being incl in the england sqaud thecreason why hammers news team is they havent been gd enough thats why not hard done by

  12. F*ck the FA – they’re only getting mouthy because they’ve taken so long to turn up nothing and will look stupid if he walks away without punishment of any kind

  13. Why would the FA give him the phone back they had it for 2 months if they had found anything on it why would they give it back they woukd not give it back if they had found anything on it

  14. All this bollocks put about that "The FA want Paqueta Banned for Life" is utter garbage.

The decision will be that of the adjudication panel. That panel MUST BE fair and independent.

If the FA attempted to PUSH for our man to be banned then that would constitute undue influence and Nick DeMarco will rip them a new one.

The FA….if they have any sense at all, will have made no comment as to any 'preferred' punishments. The only people who do are stupid fucking sports journalists. The world's biggest liars.

As to Paqueta's liability if he were banned for life…..that would simply be the value of the remainder of his contract which by then will be about 40% of 51.5m… so 20m or thereabout.

The 85m is all just pie in the sky.

If Paqueta is found Not Guilty then he and the club MAY be able to recover any legal costs.

    Trust me….I'm right.

I will answer questions if I can and if anyone has any, but don't get arsey with me if the answer isn't what you want to hear

  15. So first up I’m not a gambler and never bet on anything, but it seems to me that the potential to influence games is increased by the variables that the betting industry offers… I would think the FA could mandate that bets could only be placed on a very limited number of results ie win/loss or draw. I have no idea how this could be implemented in other markets, just my two bobs worth.

  16. The crucial test in court if that’s where it goes, is there evidential proof linking LP to the betting laid. It not it, then becomes a test of beyond all reasonable doubt. Suspicious betting patterns is not enough in a court of law. Then again I’m not a lawyer.

  17. Whilst I'm a Hammer through & through, on my fathers side of the family we are Spanish and Real Betis are our Spanish team to support. I was over the moon when Fornals joined Balompie!

  18. I cannot help think that all this stress is the reason for his drop in form. The sooner this fiasco is behind us the better. By the way, I like to think that I can throw away my phone if I wish to!
