  1. Great to get the win. It was a long time coming. Delighted for the lads an the manager. Hopefully now it's the start of better days ahead. A draw against Greece at the weekend would be another great step forward.

  2. His experienced in game management showed tonight for us. Even when we went a goal down early we didn’t panic and fought hard to get the win at the end. Making the right subs helped us as well with festy coming on too. I like heimer as manager and has came across well in recent interviews and press conferences. It’s easy for us to get behind a manager like that rather than someone who’s more guarded. I hope heimer is successful with us.

  3. Fantastic interview, he straight away said shit happens about Collin's mistake and it does happen so we move on. Talking about us getting the next two which Festy was lethal when he came on for us, And the praising the travelling fans at the end is class. Heimir is a proper manager, we'll beat Greece for his second win in a row. COYBIG

  4. O my god, what a feeling! We’ve missed that after the euro 2016 and this year as well, for this?. I can’t believe it, I thought we’re doomed and gloomed but now,we can’t believe it we won,o, I missed that feeling. You made history!Thank you boys for giving us a good night!Yeah!COYBIG!🇮🇪💚☘

  5. Great effort by the players last night as it should be always when you put on that beautiful special green jersey. Press up the pitch in defence works well. Team especially midfield has to turn and face the opposition goalie and play positive, the back passing was really awful to watch in the first half and we deserved to be 1 nil down at half time playing with no guts like that. Would like to have seen Jack Taylor get a run for Knight for 20mins last night, he's a good player that kid. Top marks to festy, Azaz was poor

  6. Finally a manager who knows that you need to play creative players to play creative football and not try play creative football like Kenny using just knight and molumby

  7. Cometh the hour, cometh the man. This man is a leader and instills inspiration to people… IF they are willing to turn will into skill. The past is gone the present is a gift!

  8. Great to break the losing streak even if Finland were poor. It's going to take time but if nothing else it gives the team some self belief. It's hard to see anything other than 2 defeats against Greece and England and hopefully win the return against Finland.

  9. Heimir is his own man but he reminds me of Klopp the way he carries himself and speaks and the way he is around the players. We really need to back this man and his staff and especially the players, one thing you can’t deny is Irish players will always give everything they have. I hope this win makes us click and starts putting results on the board. So nice and uplifting to win a game competitively for once.

  10. It is great to see Robbie "stepping up to the plate" when it mattered; he has never panned out as he was expected to – mainly due to injuries – but "better late than never."

  11. Well, no matter what he does from here, that result (a competitive away win vs a reasonably competitive country) is already better than anything Kenny achieved in 40 games.

  12. Delighted for Heimir. Seems a really decent guy and like how he states mistakes are part of the game. No kicking someone when there down. Hopefully the start of something magic.
