  1. I've seen a lot of wet soppy pitches in my time but I think this one might have easily been by far the worst. Absolutely unacceptable they had to play in that. The ball just stopped moving at midfield especially at the center literally every time.

  2. Economic and social situations are TOTALLY AND COMPLETELY THE FAULT OF THE US SANCTIONS ON VENEZUELA! Know your facts about reality, and stop blaming victims of imperialism!

  3. How about the ref whistling every time de Paul fell to the ground after shoulder to shoulder contact? Aramburu, Brujo, Herrera all had all had steals that where pivotal parts of the field ref stoped the momentum. Venezuela actually outplayed Argentina.

  4. Argentina is use to one touch football n here how can we ever think of playing that type, even a local teams show aggression while playing Messi n Argentina. Feel happy for now Venezuela πŸ˜‚

  5. Sorry Ale .. Venezuela purposely made the pitch wet & heavy πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚.as a home team you can do that to your advantage.. joking aside a world class football field got drainage so Venezuela football field is not world class.

  6. As an argentina fan I have to agree they all played on the same pitch. Maradona never complained about these conditions he played in them. In fact he would use it to his advantage and lure and trick players. For instnace if he was in a puddle he would lure the opposition to him and just do a quick trivela or a lob into a space that was dry. creating an open chance.

Argentina should have had a second plan for these type of fields and some of the players do feel like premadonna's now. Just play what you have and use simple football, you're a professional you should be able to adjust.

A 1-1 draw is good enough though.

  7. It became a RANDOM game you dummy!! I'm going to listen to the whole thing, but these guys sound like they don't understand fΓΊtbol. No one is making excuses, just stating facts. The condition of the field clearly benefited Venezuela and literally "leveled the playing field". It's ok. A team like Argentina, that bases its whole game on the technical ability of its players, deft passing, being able to involve the backline moving up and participating with the midfielders, etc., it's going to be totally handicapped playing in these conditions. I don't see why people can't accept that fact without making it seem like we weren't up to the challenge or saying that we were making excuses. It's unbelievable the hate we get. I guess we're just supposed to bend over and take it from FIFA and CONMEBOL (especially). It's fΓΊtbol so anything can happen, but I would bet that under normal conditions we don't tie that game….

Ah….so now I listen and this guy is from Venezuela. No importa, nadie estΓ‘ llorando por este partido vergonzoso, pero Scaloni hace bien en seguir siendo riguroso para con CONBEBOL y FIFA porque realmente se lo merecen.

  8. Stop making excuses. A good team deals with it. You adapt to the circumstances. A good team is a good team everywhere, any time. Only the weak complain with trivialities such as this.
Argentina takes for granted that it is the best and does not prepare to face unknown variables., and now they cry like babies.
