  1. McKennie won’t get this much playing time for the rest of the season, but he has shown his worth. Motta looks like he expects balanced midfielders that can be offensive and defensive. One dimensional players will get less playing time. One thing we know about McKennie is that he will run his socks off for the shirt. A lot of McKennie’s dirty work goes unnoticed, because he’s not dribbling 3 players all the time. That dirty work ends up stopping our opponents momentum quite often.

  2. Perhaps Wes is being rewarded for training at the intensity Motta demands, in addition to being useful on the pitch. He does not have the technicals to play the style Motta wants long term , especially since we're weak on ball playing defenders , and no matter how well he performs, it's frustrating for me to see him out there

  3. not worried about cabal as we shall see what happens if danilo departs freeing up a number
sometimes takes time to gel in perhaps S2
more concerned about luiz coz it was the showpiece item and just hoping this don't turn into
    vampeta or felipe melo

  4. As long as TM sticks with 4141, we'll continue to see Weston "Big Mac" McKennie. Only other option now is Yildiz, but Wes offers more balance.

Question is if TM will show Leipzig more respect and switch back to 4231. As long as our attacking prowess remains questionable before first goal, maybe not.

  5. From what have i seen with liepzig they attack and dont sit back deep, so in that case i would start nico and use chico to attack those tired legs. Then vs Cagliari i would start chico. For the winter i would def consider a top priority getting either of the 3 positions a lb, rb or cb depending if we move cabal as cb and move kalulu to rb( which that what i would probably do). I kayote or parisi from fiorentina. 😅 yes i know we should stay away. Berto if its tru with davis could that mean dusan or milik is leaving in jan?

  6. I didn't like him at his first appearance, I didn't see him capable of assimilating the concepts of TM, but it's also true that at this point of the season I noticed that in some roles the players immediately understood what the Coach was asking of them, other roles I saw more difficulty. Cambiaso, Locatelli but now the most essential ones. the defensive sides seem ok for the moment, so much so that he was also able to field the u23 boys without problems. in midfield I imagine it is the core of the mechanisms and we have more critical issues on the conceptual side. But Mckennie was excellent in terms of intensity and if we have the chance to include people like him maybe Locatelli can catch his breath and best express what the coach asks of him.

  7. 5:26 Cabal as a CB that can play as a defensive wide back can be helpful bit shows Cabal is limited going forward. Cambiaso locked down LB with competition from Rui.
On the right we have Kalulu that can play either CB or RB but is more defensive so the left would need to be more attacking to balance this.
Cabal as a CB can allow more rotation for Gati, Kalulu and maybe even Bremer if needed.
Danilo is also more of a CB option but if Cabal is there too it could be pushing Danilo out.

  8. Mac just being Mac and #FC7 definitely belongs in our beautiful white and black and I love him off the bench his movement and energy seems overwhelming with the change of pace like a pitcher going off speed then closing out with the fast ball

  9. I think Cabal is a more dynamic player but he takes risks so maybe Motta's working on that. Rouhi does not look ready for first team action. Not surprised at McKennie based on how well he played last year. Some talk on Zirkzee again as his stint at Man U is not going great.

  10. McKennnies playing style is very different than what the other central midfielders offer, making him a good pairing with any of the other options. A lot of the other CM’s have more similar roles compared to each other as opposed to what Motta has created for Wes. I don’t see him being a consistent starter for the rest of the season by any means, but good on Motta finding a unique role to get the best out of the player and for him executing it well!

  11. Im thinking Yildiz might get a rest in one of the next 2 games. Maybe Chico plays on the right with Nico on the left. I want to see more of Luiz also, hopefully in the next Serie A game as i see Thuram and Loca starting against Leipzig

  12. I think the main reason why motta favours him right now is that Mac covers a lot of ground and has a lot of energy,he's not shy on attacking and also does a lot of defensive work where unfortunately at the moment Douglas lacks and its not yet at the level recquired to play the important games but his technical skills are above any player we have on the team right now so those skills should be useful against the likes of cagliari and co who against Juve they always play in a low block

  13. hopefully Motta won’t bet on Mckennie all season long and benching Luiz, it will mean next summer we can lose Brazilian, its very obvious Luiz much better than Weston

  14. Happy for Wes. I’ve been in his corner through the Villa situation. Hes a great player and deserves more credit. He was our leading assist man last year and didn’t get any credit for it. Go get you some, Wes!

  15. Weston again is a top 3 player for Juve… I don’t want to hear anything about Luiz. That dude is 5 steps back behind Weston. Is not even close… to be honest, Luiz is trash
