In this style matchup we saw a phenomenal performance from both athletes. Heading into the first round we saw Anthony start off with a lot of forward pressure and landing with some clean overhands. Keeping Levi on the back foot he started off the first round strong. However, as the fight develops we see Levi start to find his rhythm.
Coming in with a focus on the counter, Levi quickly started executing his game plan and working the outside to mitigate many of Anthony’s shots. Using his range, Levi started forcing his opponent to rush in to throw an overhand. Noticing the split second delay after, Levi began connecting with nasty counter strikes!
As we progress through the 2nd and 3rd round we see it becoming clearer on who his dictating the fight. While Anthony is putting up a tremendous fight and is showing no intent of backing down, the fatigue and damage began wearing on him. Taking advantage of this, Levi started upping his offense and chaining together nasty combos. Working the body and connecting up top, the war continued until at last the final bell rang.
In the end the fight went to the distance; both fighters showing tremendous heart and grit. Ultimately, only one can emerge victorious and as the crowd cheers on we witness Levi Eyler prevail and achieve his 4th amateur win 🔥🔥🔥
