  1. Last season the pi$$poor refs with all the bad decisions had more of an impact on the league and who won it than the teams playing . Now we have supposed professional refs they should be required to explain their decisions after the game like the managers and players do

  2. In La Liga this wouldn't have happened the ref would have gone straight to the VAR monitor and sorted in less than 2 minutes the premier League is so overrated and loves the drama too much.

  3. I dont understand the rationale behind this circus. This whole releasing the audio business.. The game is done. The result is set in stone. What is the point of these unnecessary discussions and debates?

  4. That linesman was completely emotional as soon as that happened and got it completely wrong. VAR also got it completely wrong ….VAR should be scrapped

  5. That linesman should be dropped for upcoming games, no way he should of communicated the decision the way he did. The ref, for once, has been done like a kipper by both the linesman and VAR officials

  6. Danny refuses to believe the referees don't have t in for certain players. Well Danny, ex referees have admitted that they did. The ref was too quick to pull out the red, the linesman was most at wrong for his comments immediately after when he clearly didn't see the incident correctly. VAR topped off the round of errors by not instructing the ref to take a look himself because it was nothing like what the linesman thought he saw.

  7. Theres a lot to unpack here. VAR is a good initiative just used poorly. Football refs need to learn from rugby TMO. The ref should use VAR in consultation to a decision that he makes. Football is more fast paced and the players aren't as disciplined as rugby players so in order to enforce decision first and foremost the PGMOL in concert with clubs need to underline the importance of not trying to influence on field decisions during match I.e players hounding the ref. With that being said teams must be able to contest a decision if they feel aggrieved. Almost like a review system in cricket where each team gets 2-3 reviews per game in the event that a on field decision is contested for VAR to intervene and the ref having to replay the said incident on screen. With audio of course so that we as fans are made aware of how the ref came to that decision.

  8. Why were the Liverpool vs Tottenham and Fernandes red card VAR audios allowed to go public, yet Nottingham Forest were told that they could hear the Everton VAR audio, but it couldn't go public?

  9. All of them ref, assist and VAR officials are incompetent. What prevents them from asking the referee to see it again on the monitor so he can take a moment to consider his decision?

  10. Said it before and I'll say it again, var is used for bent refs to make unbelievable decisions based on who they support……that reaction probably goes on all the time. Simply pathetic
