  1. Seems to be at least one incident in our games against United every season where they get "lucky" thanks to a refs decision.
Having said that a draw yesterday was fair enough.

  2. Start punishing players for simulation. They are spoiling the game. Puts refs in a terrible position when it comes to decisions like this.

  3. oooohh…United news again..nothing to say about Bruno red overturn? In a game with Villa..there were 12 Villa fouls in second half vs 11 United fouls, united had 5 yellow cards..Villa 0…

  4. They're basically saying that if you're on a yellow then you need to get three yellow card worthy challenges in total to be sent off.

The fact that Bailey then comes across another defender which he needs to take on is completely irrelevant.

That's like saying when you're the last man there's still a keeper in the way.

  5. Same old BS, change the narrative every week. One week its the letter of the law, the next week is common sense. Dermot is a plank..

  6. Yes, he definitely should have. However, other United players had yellows they probably didn't deserve – saying this as a Villa fan – so they'd already had a lot of bad luck, if it had been given it would've been a fair decision in isolation but for his overall performance the ref would've looked very very one-sided lol.

I was annoyed at the time but end of the day I'm not convinced we would've won even if they had been down to 10, United were defending hard and almost playing for the draw lol. And all our attackers were having a stinker. It is what it is. We rarely see our opponents get reds even if its seems to happen all the time everywhere else, we never get given pens either (genuinely think it's been more than half a year since we were last awarded one in the league). And because these things never happen I never expect them to happen!

  7. Anyone who watched the game will know that the ref was giving yellow cards to United players all game….but not to Villa players for the same type of tackles.

  8. If it's a second yellow offense it's a second yellow offense end of no more of giving the benefit of the doubt it can cost games I still remember when Vidic didn't get sent off in the final because it was too early in the game of course slightly different as that's a straight red but same principle applies. This nonsense of having a defender covering him as a excuse is beggars belief did they see the foul at all.
