Hey Burley, noticed you didn’t have anything to say about CPs amazing goal in this game.
There's no way these guys would be talking about Milan, if Pulisic wasn't playing for them.
The only area I disagree is that the Captain is supposed to make the call on the field and Hernandez clearly overrode Pulisic.
That PK business was bizarre. I could understand Theo taking the first pen – he's the captain, and I'd have deferred to him as well. Abraham was another story – complete disrespect (going back to Chelsea days?). CP tried to take the ball, was pushed off, and preferred not to make a scene on the pitch. That's where the captain (Theo) and the manager should have intervened. They didn't. It really wasn't Pulisic's job to get into a public fight with Abraham. Poetic justice that both missed the PKs and Milan lost the match. Would Pulisic have made the pens? Likely – but also not likely after a fight with Abraham shatters his concentration. I think Pulisic did the right thing. It's just a shame that neither he nor his team have the respect they deserve.
Stupid take and AC Milan is one the of the most popular and successful clubs in the world.
Why does Craig hate Pulisic so much? He trashed him when he was at Chelsea ever chance he got. So he was weak for trying to keep team harmony on the field. Why does Burley hate this kid so much? Has he forgotten where his paychecks are coming from. America, yes Craig, America. Who is America's best hope in the sport? According to Craig the average English player is better than the average American player. BTW, who scored the only goal in the game, was it the British guy? I looked up your career, you were bang average at best in a weak league the only reason you have a job at ESPN is because of your accent and the average American thinks just because you have one that you must have been good.
"Our designated penalty taker is Pulisic," an angry Fonseca said. "I don't know why the players changed their minds. I have spoken to them and told them that this can't happen again." – Paulo Fonseca
But sure, let's all blame Craig 😂😂
craig is a douche.
"i guess thats the reason hes playing where he is."
whats that supposed to mean? ac milan is throw away?
its almost craig thinks its 1981 and he expects players to come to blows
Craig Burley is a fake tough guy.
I find it UNFATHOMABLE to blame Pulisic. Hes the designated pen taker for the team. 1st one the captain wanted it. Hes been there a while alright. Why is NO ONE helping the 2nd one where Pulisic wanted to take it from Tammy and he shrugs him off? WHERES THE MANAGER?! Its disgusting that people are gonna say hes WEAK for NOT CAUSING an argument. Hes their current best player and he doesnt have to talk to show it. Horrible take Burley
To answer Don – Tammy's been there 2 minutes, but Tomori's been there a year longer than Pulisic. And he's the one who made that happen. Someone asked where was Pulisic. He was walking directly towards them with his hand out to take the ball. Tomori literally turned his back on him to hand it to Tammy. Pulisic still walked to Tammy with his hand out… the camera cut to another angle seeing Puli standing there with his hand out… he finally dropped it and Tammy literally physically brushed past him to walk to the spot. Then Tomori got his body between Tammy and the rest of the team so no one at all could say anything.
It was the most disrespectful thing I've ever seen a teammate do to another on the pitch in front of the world… and those 2 are supposedly his buddies.
Something stinks at Milan.
I got even more respect for Pulisic after how he acted after all that. Best player at milan easy.
Pulisic strikes me as a very reserved, humble person. There's nothing wrong with that. His teammates should be ashamed.
“If it was me” yeah but it’s not you some people still have their brain intact 🤷🏽♂️
I cannot believe Craig said “playing where he is”
AC Milan is a worldly club. And still far better club right now than Man United even. Speechless…
Thats why he is playing where he is? Oh you mean Milan one of the greatest and most successful clubs in the world?
Watch the tape. On second PK, Pulisic walks up and reaches for the ball and is clearly brushed aside….Rather than making a big stink on the field, he acts like a team player and we know what happens. If i was coach, there would be large fines and two guys sitting on the bench for the next game.
Burnley said “that’s why puli play where he plays” ?? Ahhh he has one Champions in the EPL. How many does Burnley have at Chelsea again? 😂
AC Milan is a bigger club than Chelsea… that’s a fact
If he's so weak Burley than why is he always the one the Milan players count on to make something happen, weak players don't do that Jerkoff!
Craig Burley is such a joke
Pulisic is weak always looks scared 😳😲
Well, Craig doesn't know what he was talking about.
Nothing about what happened was Pulisic's fault. His teammates were acting like f*cking children, and he didn't want to get involved and didn't need to get involved with that.
Christian is above the clownery. What a bunch of amateurs. Professional footballers acting like children.
It's very poor from Pulisic to not taken it. Who is the captain of Milan to allow this utter rubbish 🗑
Same thing happened at Chelsea and Gallagher stepped in to help Palmer – this was just an excuse to have a go at Pulisic while he is on a hot streak.
Pathetic like always espn. You guys truly are the lowest of the low now. Basically just a tabloid gossip channel.
Espn fc missing his stats from his penalties with Chelsea
Clearly Shaka was the only one that viewed what happened. Theo clearly wanted to take the first PK because he is one goal away from making Milan history as the club’s highest goal scoring defender. Theo wanted to achieve that feat on his birthday and used his caption status to take the first PK. He failed. The second one was orchestrated by Tomori for the benefit of Tammy. Tomori grabbed the ball from the air, Pulisic can be see asking for it, Tomori gave Pulisic the cold shoulder, handed it to Tammy, and shielded the ball from Pulisic. Pulisic, being a level headed player, did not add any drama to the fire. Tammy’s PK got saved. Clearly Tammy and Tomori planned that as a middle finger to both the coach and Pulisic. Tammy is on loan at Milan. If I was the coach, I would sent him right on back to Roma.
The issue seen from this team goes beyond just the manager. That match showed the club lacked leadership from a caption. Theo, the spoiled brat birthday boy caption, failed to set his team straight when Tomori and Abraham teamed up against Pulisic to take that PK. Heck, Theo got himself sent off with a red card late into the game for mouthing out to the referee. Saying that, Craig needs to shut his mouth. He knows nothing about what happened, yet is the most critical. Pulisic does not does not deserve any criticism and AC Milan is still an elite club despite its shortcomings.
Craig is a 🤡
Why does ESPN employ Burley! He needs anger management classes.
Craig is evil. Calling out a player for not trying to control his teammates. Not Christians job
all this yapping people forgetting he scored a crazy goal this game
Burley has something against Pulisic
Burley apparently thinks Pulisic is more culpable for this mess than the manager or captain of the team. You can make what you want of Pulisic's lack of assertiveness or whatever, but to suggest it'd be better if there was a fistfight and say nothing about Theo Hernandez's selfishness in taking a PK when you're losing away from a player who has never missed a PK in his professional career and not to mention ignore the absolutely embarrassment that was Tomori and Abraham with the second PK and zero intervention from the captain of the team… Is Burley drunk at work?
CRIG IS 100PERCENT CORRECT YOU CANT STEAL AWAY A PENALTY FROM THE DESIGNATED PENALTY TAKER THATS JUST INSANE AND TWICE WITH TWO MISSES AND THEN YOU LOSE OMG WHAT A BOTTLE JOB LMAOOOOOOOOOOOO😂😂😂😂😂
Christian Pulisic is a class act, he did not interfere with his teammates on the penalty take for the sake of team cohesion, not wanting to ride the privilege of the Coach's authority. He showed humility and respect to his teammates. And so a good lesson has been learned here and next time a cohesive role structure will prevail on all penalties, corners, free kicks, and what have you!
I’m telling you man, Pulisic just rubs the Europeans the wrong way. Idk what it is, the fact that he won Champions League or just him being a quality attacker, but they hate that guy 😂😂 and then they’ll try to gaslight you by downplaying it but it’s a clear as day they don’t like the dude. When he scores that goal some of those Milan players didn’t even celebrate
Did this clown say that’s why he’s playing where he is and not the epl…. Milan is bigger than all the clubs in the epl. We are only sec to Madrid…
That's weak???
Pulisic doesn’t need to stoop down to their level. He was proven right and came out better than the other players and the coach did. Craig, take a seat.
Craig burnley wants to be old school controversial big dog not realizing that Pulisic was the bigger man thru this whole match
How would itloook like pulsic fighting for the ball lol he did the mature thing now the team knows he should kick the ball
Craig is wayyyy off. Was he drinking before the show? He’s being mighty unreasonable and offensive
That debacle cost me money😤 All they had to do was not lose!
