  1. Berhalter is a fraud! Just not qualified to be at the helm. No one talks about the fact he got this job because of his brother. He just does not have the knowledge necessary. What a joke!

  2. I think there’s blame on both sides but if what Gio is saying is true, it’s just plain stupid for Berhalter to do that. Gino’s response was poor, but at the end of the day he made an apology and improved. Why you would say this, even if you’ve had previous beef, to your best player at the World Cup is poor strategy and management

  3. Why is everybody talking about this? What we should be talking about? Is Pulisic missing that goal right in the beginning of the game Landon Donovan and Clint Dempsey would’ve never missed that shot. You can’t mention great in someone’s name if they ain’t done nothing great

  4. For once I actually agree with Stevie. If there wasn't another million reasons we've had to want Berhalter out, this should be the nail in the coffin. So many times Gregg has had inexcusable decisions and behavior, but American soccer media has tiptoed around comments without calling him out (due to their own job security), and finally someone says something damning. THANK YOU. Hey ussf, DO NOT RENEW THIS FRAUD'S CONTRACT. Hire a coach based on merit, not on nepotism.

  5. According to multiple reports, Reyna showed a shocking lack of effort in training and in a pre-tournament scrimmage against a Qatari club. He was described as walking around throughout his time on the field in what was supposed to be an intense session and was later confronted by some veteran players.

  6. American mentality vs rest of the world. There's nothing wrong with a coach telling his players that they don't fit in plan A.
And if they don't act right, call them out. This is Ben Simmons all over again 😂

  7. So where does this reputation that Reyna is Polisic level and one of the best players? Where was that in qualifying, friendlies, his league matches or World Cup?

  8. The right time to tell a player that is even when you call him to join the squad in the first place you tell him you’re called but your role is that or when you see him in training and he is not giving 💯 you tell him that to inspire him and make him do better

  9. kid's got an oversized ego and no body of work to back it up. Acting like he's owed a starting position as if he's messi or something. I don't see aaronson crying like a spoiled brat for not starting despite how good he's been. Try playing a season injury-free then contemplate making demands and claiming you're that much better than your teammates.

  10. I wonder… when Berhalter shared the story about the locker room issue, did he also mention the part about telling the disruptive player he wouldn't play a big role? Or did he leave that detail out and go straight to "This is how we resolve a problem". Because you know, it kind of tarnishes the bravado if panelists/folks can question the source of the issue…

  11. Before the World Cup Gio was seen as such an important player to Berhalter. Why Berhalter decided to give him a limited role before the World Cup even began makes zero sense. Berhalter wastes so many opportunities and opportunity is EVERYTHING in sports. Not only just with Reyna but in general with his player pool management.
