Leverkusen took the lead in the 31st minute through Andrich. The goal was Leverkusen’s first shot on goal and would remain so throughout the first half in which Xabi Alonso’s team suffered greatly from Bayern’s high pressure.
Bayern Munich was behind on the scoreboard, although they equaled it in the Bundesliga with a great goal from Aleksandar Pavlovic.
