The shoe review was rad! Very descriptive, and well made.
I just think that to see how this shoe really works, maybe should have had more street and tech dudes test these shoes. Kyle Walker is a rad street skater, so his shoe was more made for that i would assume.
Still, the review was great! No hate, just a thought!

It's pretty dope that they're more supportive than standard wafflecup models. I may have to check these out.
The Stage 4s were too thin for being a hybrid vulc/cup. They just felt like a paper thin vulc after a week or so.
How do they compare to the TNT SG?

These look like Vans has improved the wafflecup since the Crockett shoe. Bought the crockett mid a few months ago, and not only was the shoe like a boa constrictor on my feet for the first week (Kyle himself said they made this shoe fit a little more relaxed than the crockett, so I hope that's accurate since I have slightly wider feet, where something like an eS accel feels nice and comfortable from day one, but a vans era gives me blisters) but the "seam" on the foxing started crumbling and peeling away all weird after the second week which was really weird, and then it started to separate from the shoe. I'm not seeing that happen on these.

What a helpful review! these didn't look all that good in the colorway they were premiered to me on but I like the classic and solid appeal. I skated the tnt2s for some epic sessions so I know what vans can achieve, thanks for showing the new tech off
How do they fit? Many have said they're narrow and have needed to go up a half size.

Love these shoes, they sell the REAL skateboards designs at my local shoe store, took me all of 1 minute to decide between the Vans or these Etnies I seen. Don't regret shit.

Do these give you back heel blisters? I skated old schools before and my feet were wrecked after breaking them in
they gave me blisters but its probably coz they ain't broken in
I don't get what's up with this word boardfeel. I started skating at the age of 12 in 2001. I'm 28 now. The first ten years of skating I don't think I ever heard anyone say the word boardfeel. We skated shoes that were fucking massive lol. Emerica Mark johnsons and the Ellington 1s were the best skate shoes ive ever skated. Those things were like pillows lol.

There's absolutely no board feel imo
Good looking shoe, great for impact, but super sticky. All trick on heal were made easier, but everything that has to do with kick was harder really sticky.

Correction:
The waffle cup design is to have both stability on the toe and on the heel
Vulc on the toe for you to have good and responsive kickflips
Cup on the heel for you to have good and responsive heelflips
I ordered a pair of these are they durable?? I like to do alot of Heelflip tricks.
