Because apparently, success outside of the "Big Six" can’t possibly be sustainable without Manchester United, or some other footballing giant, stepping in to cherry-pick the talent. It's as if Villa fans should be grateful for being reduced to a farm system, nurturing managers like Unai Emery just so they can be shipped off to fix United's mess. But sure, let's not forget these pundits are doing an "incredible" job of promoting this tired, elitist narrative. Ryan the dim Villa fan called in to completely contradict himself. His entire point was Emery wouldn't even consider Man Utd because "their whole club is in disarray." Buddy, he switched from a Champions League semi-finalist and Europa League winning team to take over a club that hasn't won a trophy in 3 decades and were 3 points above the relegation zone in horrible form. If he can work literal miracles with us he can definitely do it with them.
Emery clearly likes an almost impossible task and he's doing it by delivering our highest managerial win percentage in the clubs history.
