  1. just to note, without the bad apointment of gerrard, NONE of this happens… if we took on a moyes or a dyche, they may have jsut been good enough to not get sacked and we stick with them for 2 or 3 years until we finally realise were not going anywhere. Im glad we had the year of gerrard we needed it!

  2. Emery didn’t want to go to Newcastle because it isn’t an attractive club, linked to a nation state, oil money, with bad human rights issues. Moreover, they have been stonewalled – no legacy

  3. Aston Villa think they're massive now because they scraped a 1-0 win against Bayern 🤣🤣🤣.

    "could they win the league?"

Did you ask that when Newcastle just missed out on third place and battered PSG 4-1 after playing them off the park Jim?

Well done for getting outplayed for 90 minutes and fluking a win Villa.

  4. The Media will destroy Emery. Let's just leave him alone and stick with Ten Hag for a few years maybe eventually the media will get tired of reporting how poor we are and we can actually build under the radar and let the next generation of players play without the microscope

  5. All it would take for United to be better than Villa is a manager who knows what he is doing. They only finished 8 points ahead of United last season, in one of United worst seasons ever. Player for player, they aren’t better than United. The difference is in the quality of managers. Uniteds players are massively underperforming below their level due to the tactically brainless ten Hag

  6. I love to see Villa doing as well as they are. It's always nice to break up the monotony of the usual so-called 'big 6'. Emery should've won manager of the year last season for how well they did and just how far they've come under his leadership.

  7. Never thought I'd see the day when I'd say…..why would you leave Aston villa to join Manchester united….how the mighty have fallen.

  8. They need to stop pushing this narrative now, Emery is happy at Villa, you can tell he’s part of the journey they’re on and wants to be a part of it.

  9. I dont think the lazy united players would sit through all the Emery tapes of the opposition. He does well at smaller clubs that buy into the work ethic and preparation. I hope the villa players find it scalable now with all the extra pressures and games

  10. I'm a Newcastle fan and I'm glad to see Villa doing well and in the champions league, with all the corruption in the premier league and only 6 clubs who are allowed to spend what they want and with all the clubs outside that "Big six" not being allowed to spend money, it's good that they are where they are and it makes a corrupt league, more exciting and Emery should stay where he is and go nowhere near the Man Utd job.

  11. Laughable. Manchester United is no longer a top club, they are poorly run and are mid-table at best. Why would Emery or any other top manager want to go there?

  12. Emery is building from the ground up at Villa. He has total control of footballing matters. He has a fresh 5 year contract and the keys to the kingdom. Why would he risk it all for the circus that is Man Utd? The Glazers are still the majority share holders and what they've done to UTD is a crime. UTD will finish outside the top 6 again this season. They will loose out on transfer targets, sack Ten Hag and end up with Potter. Then they'll sack him and go back to either OGS or Jose.

  13. Man United is a washed up club. They’ve spent billions of dollars and still can’t even come close to winning a title. All the managers they’ve had have been washed up managers from the past. so no manager would come to Man United that is great Man United is such a great place to go. Why can’t they pull managers from other clubs like Barcelona or Real Madrid?
