Sporting CP secured a 2-0 win over Lille in the UEFA Champions League. Gyökeres opened the scoring in the 38th minute, followed by a stunning long-range strike from Debast in the second half. Lille’s hopes were dashed with Gomes’ red card just before halftime. Despite Lille’s efforts, Sporting’s defense and goalkeeper Israel held firm to see out the win.
