unfortunately XG doesn't score goals it's good to have this stat but again it doesn't win matches if you don't score the goals
Boro summary:
Clarke and Conway will be a miss maybe not against stoke who offered very little upfront but against West Brom with josh Maja scoring 7 in 7 will be the real test for our makeshift defence.
Hayden and Morris partnership is starting to cook the more they develop an understanding of each other and it’s going to benefit the team massively.
Doak and mcgree buzzing about everywhere is a huge difference for us opening up stubborn teams pulling tight defences around everywhere.
I have to give a mention to dijksteel by the way, thought he was terrific his pace and athleticism down that right in terms of dealing with pacy wingers from the opposition but also getting up in support of doak so doak isn’t crowded out and double up on is a huge plus. Ayling is solid at right back but these days does not have the legs or pace of dijksteel so good to have both options depending on what the opposition offer.
The ref? Well that man clearly didn’t get any love as a child and the lack of birthday cards he received clearly comes through in his refereeing performances dishing out cards like his parents never loved him.
