Scott McTominay marked his first goal for Napoli in a commanding 5-0 Coppa Italia victory over Palermo. The 27-year-old Scotland midfielder, in only his third appearance since joining from Manchester United for £25.7 million, scored in the 77th minute with an assist from his former United teammate Romelu Lukaku. Lukaku, showing his pace and power, set up McTominay to slot home from 10 yards. The duo, both recent signings for Napoli, made an immediate impact after being substituted in. Napoli’s dominant performance, including a brace from Cyril Ngonge, a goal from Juan Jesus, and another from David Neres, secured their Scudetto hopes as Palermo struggled to compete, especially after being reduced to 10 men.
