  1. I agree that there is definately an element of more control in what were trying to do under slott in the games so far this season, but still alot to work to do going forward in terms of our possession game as there is still alot of carelessness in giving the ball away in our own half and outside our own 18 yard box when were not necessarily under extreme pressure.

  2. Question…. Are we certain that he's not left footed and he's just not realised it? 🤣🤣🤣 It would go a long way to explaining some of the finishing the past few seasons. All jokes aside I adore the man, he gives so much of a shit about doing well for his teammates and the club/country and he's a fucking nightmare for defenders…

  3. It was interesting to hear Josh's comments on Darwin benefiting from Slot being much more directive and clear in what he wants than Klopp, who painted with a broader brush.
I agree with that, and I think Darwin responds better to this stronger and more directive style. I would add to that, that if we look at Uruguay (where Darwin performs more consistently and more often at a higher level), he will be getting extremely directive coaching from Bielsa, and he is playing in a team that is also pretty highly controlled and disciplined. And it def seems to work for Darwin cos he is an absolute star for Uruguay.

  4. Some of the comments here😂 you guys are weird. Nunez 51 g/a in 101 games is more than an acceptable return considering you are playing with the greatest right winger in recent(or total) prem history, he's 25, he's rapid, audacious, passionate, tall, strong. He's just started his first game for Slot. He's a starter for his country. He's proven that he is coachable. He just needs supporters to love him and isn't good at blocking out toxic social media…..will never forgive my club's fans if we lose him.

  5. Also, if we're gonna have a striker that is constantly on the defender's shoulder then it's the duty of our midfielders to recognize that and play him in FIRST TIME, don't wait for the indication cos you know he's on his bike anyway. That should solve the off side issue

  6. Not sure why there needs to be this kind of analysis around Nunez. His issue is that he doesn’t score tap ins on a consistent basis and I don’t think anyone can coach that

  7. Why are we complaining about the fact he didn't pass to Salah when A he scored and B when Salah had that chance were he kept dribbling instead of shooting he could have easily passed to Nunez but he didn't. So selfish.

  8. Every single year since Nunez has arrived at LFC Josh comes on many SM platform and say this is the year for Nunez cuz the conditions are perfect.. Grow a pair mate, NUNEZ is CRAP!!

  9. He’s in his 3rd year. Either he hits 20 league goals or he can do one. This is Liverpool. 2 seasons is enough to show if you’re good enough. We are known for having the best 9’s and Nunez is nowhere near our level. His stock is still quite high imo due to his age and potential so we could easily get at least 65m from a European club like Napoli or atletico for example. Sell him in January. Go and get one of gyokeres/boniface/openda. They’re more sure things. We ain’t a charity ffs. We can do a lot better than Darwin, fact.

  10. Reminder that Haaland missed more big chances than Nunez last season. Steady with all the Haaland is infallable as he'll have down patches and if he played for Burnley, he'd barely get 15 goals.

  11. Too many false dawns for Nunez. He's almost 26 & been here 3 seasons, if he doesn't score at least 15 league goals this season he's not good enough to be our #9 & we will be looking to sell & replace next summer.

  12. Ahhh the deep dive. The show, where in one week, both hosts of the show agree that Nunez will likely not be Slot's #9 next season whilst suggesting this week that Nunez may be ready to lead the line. Love you guys.

  13. As someone who struggles with pretty bad anxiety i recognise a lot of things Nunez does that tells me he might also stuggle with it. When Nunez is in his head and overthink things (usually a function of a lack of confidence and anxiety) he often lacks composure, makes erratic decisions and snatches at shots. All the things you simply cannot do if you want to be a consistent striker at this level.

  14. Scoring one goal doesn't make him ready to lead the line at all, but we are seeing what a difference Slot's coaching has made for Diaz and Gravenberch, so hopefully he can have that effect on Nunez too. He needs a different approach than the constant offside and rushed, panicked misses that we've become used to, but there's no doubt he has crazy skills. If he can add some composure and tactical awareness then we might be in business.
