For the bonkers they're paid for kicking around a ball and entertaining the viewers, nobody's going on strike. In the end, it's a money game, right from FIFA, to the associations, to the clubs, and ultimately, the players.
115 charges
They throw a tantrum if they get subbed off, but if they don't get a couple of months in the sunshine, they're playing too many minutes. Gimme a break! The season is only a few weeks in, and we need to consider player fatigue because someone picked up an injury? What a bunch of cry babies. With the money their on, they should just shut up, and count their blessings every day.
He's just the first and unfortunately there will be many more. I blame FIFA and UEFA for this. The guy's been talking about playing too many games for a while now and look what happens, sad. Speedy recovery Rodri 🙏🏽🙏🏽
Karma.
Deport
New champions league is the prelude to superleague..citys owners wreck prem league with court costs on their cheating charges..then its opened up for eufa for a middle east superlube..stop it now..
There's 115 reasons why City will probably be fine without him.
yet when it's a Man Utd player, Sky and the other muppets are lining up to call for the manager to be sacked! you guys are so obviously tendentious that it is actually laughable
Teams have big squads. They don't have to use the same players every game.
Losing Rodri is a minor blow for City. The huge blow will be the punishment for violating FFP: A 60-point plus deduction, relegation to the championship, a multi- year ban from European competition, and the stripping away of a few PL titles.
Pep has never had any answers when he's been missing. He needs to this time or Arsenal will win that league.
Where I stand on this matter: There are ways you can solve this issue rather than overhauling the entire system – that shows shallow thinking.
Increasinģ the squad size is one solution. To be honest, these players are earning so much money and if you try to reduce their wages for lesser amount of games, they'll still protest…so?
Let the administrators find creative ways to solve this issue.
Fyi: the new UCL format is exciting and should not be touched.
They should allow an increase in squad size(from 25 to 36)
The world cup is played over 4 weeks but the squad size has been increased from 23 to 26.
The ACL ligaments do suffer microtrauma injury that can be made worse by fatigue or a lack of time to heal properly.
Klopp says it 3 years ago …stop moaning..city player gets injured…let's change the amount we play
This narrative about a lot of games is wild, their pay is commensurate with their work load. Work load is not why he got injured(example Timber) How about Guardiola who refuses to give him a rest ever? He plays 99% of city games when available. It’s the same thing I complain about with Saka.
CITY AND SPAIN ALL FAILED RODRI
Players are being overused.. specially with this new format of champions league and nations league.. however, his injury isn’t due to over playing. He barely got back from a rest. It’s just an unfortunate injury.
First it was a footballer's career is short lived now they complain that there's too many games 😂
I don't understand how pros are not fit enough to play a game every 3-4 days… growing up we used to play 2 sometimes 3 games in 1 single day. But these guys get 3-4 days to rest and still say it's too much. How about they act more professional and take care of themselves and stay fit rather than going out to night clubs and partying and maybe they would be more fit and stop getting injuries. And I don't wanna hear the lame excuse of oh it's cause they're getting older, cause that's not an excuse. Cristiano and Zlatan are the best examples of how taking care of yourself will lead to less injuries.
Man City 🥱 should take some of their 115 legal team and sue FiFa and co. for the financial loss they’ll suffer by Rodri’s injury 😅
Must have fatigued himself all the rolling on the floor he did in that game
I think that there is room to manage, for example, every player should only be allowed to register/ feature in a maximum 2 formats ( Carabao Cup and EPL, Champion League and EPL, or FA Cup and EPL), so that team B can play, maybe increase the squad size ( it is costly though).
So this is the reason why Chelsea brought so many players.
that not big news who cares 😂😂😂😂
If you know the game, you knew as soon as he went down, his ACL had gone, it was just a question of how bad. Real shame as he’s probably (all things considered) the best all round player in the world right now.
Every season player or two or three get a serious injury but nothing is really said about fatigue, etc. BUT..when an important Man City player gets hurt, well, gee, we better do something about this!
Crazy how a week ago Rodri was talking about fatigue
It's Mancity own share of injury for the season..its happened to Manutd last season, it happened to Liverpool , Arsenal, Tottenham, now it's Mancity..so they should deal with it…there's no preference because it's City..they should rotate players
He will be playing at the Championship after his recovery😂
Should’ve been Haaland
Delighted for the city cheats
Managers responsebility to manage their players fatigue
when it happened to timber nothing said
Couldn’t rodri have just asked for a break?
Expan the squad sizes so that players like Rodri can choose which competitions to not participate in (I don't how that will go with their employers) becuz Jason Reed and Robert Ashworth in the English 3rd tier are not gonna take a pay cut to help elite players like Rodri on this becuz lets be honest, they have no chance of playing in the Champions League or Club World Cup. So Rodri and the elite players unfortunately are on their own. But you wont get that perspective from Skysports.
& where is the pro's union (professional footballer's association) in all of this. They are supposed to negotiate for their constituents, that's what they are being paid for. Honestly the elite pros should consider their legal position and the possibility of LEAVING the association if they don't start doing their job and defending their interests.
All these fans saying Man City dont usually win when Rodri isnt playing, good fact for last couple of years. Do these same fans realise Man City won 4 from 4 this year without Rodri 🤣😛😎
Too many fixtures , the players are not machines. They should take a break
Laziness cause Rodri to get injury.. talking about player strike…. STOP THE CAPPING boy
