      Purdy will be the 49ers starter next season and trey or jimmy g will be the bk-up. 49ers should trade trey for a shutdown corner to a team that wants a young qb. Facts! Purdy is clearly better than 95% of the Best Qb's in the League today and he is a rookie and 3 games started in. Facts!

      His perfromqce was good not great. The kid has a long way to go. We are a defensive team first. Yes he is poised, yes he has 4 years.of college but this is the NFL. 1 sunday at a time

      Trey Lance physically has a higher ceiling than Brock Purdy. But Lance does not have much experience and there is a risk that he doesn't have the football IQ and drive to get better that Purdy has.
      Purdy came in with a lot of experience in college and, based on the things I've read from his previous coaches, he has the mentality to always want to get better. He was good at Iowa State and set 32 school records while there. I also think that he has already learned how to be better from the coaches and time with the 49ers.
      Figuring out what to do next season will not be easy. One option I think I would consider would be to see what kind of trade deal I could get for Lance and trade him. Make Purdy the starter and keep Garoppolo as the backup. Garoppolo has a lot of experience and could teach Purdy and make him better. Keeping Lance and Purdy while dumping Garoppolo would give you 2 young inexperienced QBs and pose a high risk.
      My fear concerning Trey Lance is that he could turn out to be another Todd Blackledge (or any of many other high draft pick QBs that failed miserably in the NFL). A great college player who just couldn't figure out how to play at the NFL level.

      The offense has literally improved with Purdy than with Jimmy G. And he’s doing it without Deebo. I don’t get what Nick is talking about with this plug and play shtick

      Jimmy G is a better thrower right now than Brock. But Brock is more mobile than JG. So, if the OL gives JG some time to throw, JG can make those. Purdy also threw some bad passes that were supposed to get intercepted. Bottom line, if this is the SB, I'd still start Jimmy G over Purdy

      I see Nick’s car point. However, it’s not the same as Jimmy G. Their production in the red zone, their scores are more from touchdowns then they are from field goals. They’re making the most out of their drives and capitalizing on longer scores, or punching it in when they’re within the red zone. With Jimmy it was more often we’d win by a few field goals.

      It doesn't seems far fetch to believe that BrockPurdy is a better player than JimmyG or Trey Lance today since we are seeing it live as a rookie. Trey Lance could be in the future, but I'm not going to sacrifice losing games just to see Trey Lance “could be”. No! You put Purdy vs Trey Lance year as competition. Whoever wins get QB1.

      Wiles said it best: "Eventually is going to be a quarterback competition and the Eagles are going to win!" And this is the case with every top team the 9ers play: Chiefs, Bills, Eagles, Bengals, Cowboys, Vikings, and Ravens. When the 49ers play against a team with a great quarterback, the 49ers quarterbacks cannot keep up and they will lose! It happened in the Super Bowl vs KC. It happened in the NFC championship game vs Rams. For that main reason is why the 49ers can't win a Super Bowl with any of their quarterbacks (Jimmy, Trey or Brock). Maybe next season is Brady to the 49ers and then is a different story!

      With that theory they would've had a winning record in 2017, 2018 and 2020 with Bethard and Mullins. Yet they were terrible those years.

      There is no way that Mr. Wright actually believes half the things he says. Nobody could be as completely wrong about so many things so often and still get to be on TV

      It's pretty insulting and disrespectful to think just any QB can do what Purdy is doing. He's making it look easy but it's obviously not if you know football at all. I'm starting to not wanna hear another low IQ sentence out of Nick's dumb mouth
