I thought I knew football before I met Pep Guardiola – John Stones | Football Focus | BBC Sport

  1. I rate John Stones, Rolls Royce of a player. Immense for City in CL final. But hearing a multi-millionaire footballer bemoan having to navigate self-doubt as a sentimental piano tinkles in the background highlights everything that's detached from reality in modern day football for me.

  2. Franz Becken…who? JOHNNY, JOHNNY STONES, JOHNNY, JOHNNY STONES!!! Even Gareth Safeshite couldn't drag him down to the level so many of his team-mates this summer were reduced to.

  3. His role on the pitch has undergone a marked change and he is now truly demonstrating what it means to play at such a high level. What do you think of Stones' transformation from talented newcomer to one of the key players in the top club? It's amazing how he adapted to Pep's demands and grew into a true leader!
