By the rules of the game it’s a second yellow. The officials were spot on.
What’s shocking is the VAR’s role here. 1) the ball was moving 2) Rice was kicked by the Brighton player. Corrupt officials defending each others!

howard said they want to be consistent so why doesn’t every player who does this get a yellow card, then he said we can’t be certain that’s the ball moving? then he said it not every action where the ball is kicked will be a yellow and only will give a yellow depending on where the opposition is and how quickly they could of taken the free kick.. what does that matter? why didn’t Michael owen show him countless other examples where players kick the ball away and ask him to explain every single one? another example where they just dish out a yellow card whenever they feel like, shocking refereeing 🤙
Tottenham did this v Arsenal this past Sunday. No yellow card for it. The referees are rubbish at their job.
