  1. I imagine a scenario where Milan play 442. With Tammy and Morata paring up front. Leao and pulisic deeper on the wings. Fofana and reijnders in the center and the defense. I’ll like to see that experiment play out.

  2. At the beginning of last season I tried to explain that Pulisic is going to outscore Leao because he knows where to be. Got so much hate hahaha. He listened to Frank Lampard and he understands how to make runs and where to be to get goals and assists. Chelsea brought in a lot of flashy ball dribblers that won't be as productive as Pulisic in terms of scoring.

  3. The disallowed goal and the overall crappiness is reason for concern. I kept seeing Venezia's nb 27 getting miles of space on the left but not getting a single ball. That could be a problem in the future.

But looking at us, there was so much being positive. I'd like to add.
    * Emerson did ok but still needs to work. He came late in the squad so it's understandable.
    * RLC + Fofana as double pivot…. beautiful. I'm calling that the "two bears of midfield". When Youss is settled in and masters the language and tactics, we're gonna see something special.

  4. Credit the tactical change. At times, Pulisic was playing inside, forming a box midfield, almost like a 4-2-2-2. Much better use of his skills than keeping his heels on the touch line the whole game.

  5. We played Venezia , isn't it too early to start pouring praises against a side that is not competitive?. If we can beat Inter in the derby then this squad is ready to go. Until then we see.

  6. 13:05 i agree pulisc has been great for us but he needs to step up in big games but i belive emerson should get a red box he offer nothing in attack and the disallowed goal camed from that posision he was better but still not a good performance

  7. Fonseca needs a lot of credit. Rossoneri fans were panicking. Speculation was flying around, yes it is Venezia a team that is not near the quality of Inter or Juve but Fonseca got the team to do something Pioli struggled doing. The biggest take away is that we played extremely well in our midfield and defense. Loftus Cheek was the best player on the pitch today. He had a phenomenal game and if we can get him to play at a high level doing the things we saw him do in this game in the big games. The other teams are going to have some serious problems. He is 6’4 imposing and excellent at carrying the ball and winning the ball back in the the second and last third. I really want to give Fonseca props, I didn’t understand why he kept playing Loftus Cheek in that role but now I see it is a fluid role, many times I saw Rejinders attacking. With LFC pushing the ball up, Fofana was able to really play more in the 1st and 2nd thirds and brought the defensiveness that we need kind of plugging holes that were missing when E. Royal went up the right flank and Pulisic drifted into different areas of the pitch. I think we have so much more to get out of Fofana but it was good to see a semblance of what he could do.

    E. Royal had a very very good game, he had some mistakes but with time and some growth in confidence we may see an extraordinary Royal come to the fore that many players cannot match. When he is locked in he showed me he has what it takes to play for Milan. Tottenham fans are fools. They have been sold a dream by the Saudi Oil money of the prem league, Pedro Poro is exceptional but let us not pretend that E. Royal on his day can definitely out perform Porro.

Gabbia and Pavlovic, I have been calling for this pairing for too long. Gabbia is an extremely disciplined player, Pavlovic can be a bit of a wild card. They offer the defense balance of a kind we have not seen in a very long time.

Theo and Puli just had amazing performances. When Theo plays like that he is the best LB in the world hands down. He becomes unplayable by any opposition. He was electric and everywhere, giving him the captain’s armband after everything that was blown out of proportion in the last game I think was a great move by Fonseca. Pulisic continues his blistering form. He will be vital for us this season.

Roma messed up, they should have never gave us Abraham. He was an absolute baller for Chelsea and for Roma before he got injured. He compliments our attacking line so well and against teams that play possessional football, what really kills them is an extremely effective counter attacking team e.g. Peps Bayern vs Mourinho’s Madrid in 2016? Correct me if the date is wrong. That Bayern was clicking on all cylinders that year and Madrid absolutely ran rampant in the Alianz which got Pep fired. Tammy + Leao + Pulisic + Rejinders are a very very dangerous top 3 with dynamism that teams should be very scared of

This was a Fonseca masterclass, yes against a weaker Venezia team but let us be grateful as we have so many factors to take into account and we needed a game like this and the others against opponents like those to help us work out the defects. I think its just up to consistency now and also if we do get put in a jam do we have the grit to keep fighting to win. That we have not seen yet.

Lastly, I am saying it now the one team Motta struggled against all of last season was Milan. Every time Bologna played Milan they were punished. Even with Piolis not so great tactics. Juve looked terrible against Empoli, it was such a boring and poor performance. Idc whether they were flying in their first 2 games, I am saying it here, Milan will beat Juve by 4 goals this season when we have to play them. They will learn how to play football and Inter, we have something special for Inter this season. They are going to get a reality check the next time they play us. We have alot less weaknesses and I don’t think that Inter’s midfield can stand up to Milan’s. Chalangolu is garbage he has always been garbage and I know he will be shut down all game and shown up as the fraud that he really is. Inter cannot tick without him, Dimarco will not be able to play forward as much as he wants with this new Milan and it will cost them dearly if he does. Fofana and Loftus Cheek will run rampant in their midfield and Inter will struggle to retain possession and play the football they like. I say we beat them 2-0 in game that could easily see them beaten by 5 or more goals. Inzaghi will be humiliated, as he should have never coached inter to begin with as an AC Milan Legend.

    Lastly FORZA MILAN!!!!’

  8. Loftus Cheek either blocked me from his Instagram account or he just closed his account before the game. What that means is that he felt the bad messages he received for his poor performances (mine was not mean though) and stepped up his game

  9. Reijnders is the biggest hit of the new management. He's on his way to becoming (already has in my eyes) a club star joining Theo, Rafa and Mike. The guy is our metronome – if he suffers, our whole midfield suffers. Hope he stays with us for a long time. We can't afford to keep losing quality midfielders.

  10. It's more than that with Pulisic. He dictates the rhythm. He knows when to hold possession and when to push forward. He tucked in very nicely and tried to release the strikers like a proper 10. Him and reijnders squeezing in gives us a 3142 in attack with leao as a wider 2nd striker and Theo as a left mid. It looks good.

  11. Still think Milan should switch to 4-3-3 with Fofana, reijnders and Isma. If Isma doesn't play we should still switch to 4-3-3. The overall game must be counter attacking. This team can do wonders I believe.

  12. I'm really worried about that Liverpool game, our right is gonna let us down all game. No way Royal or Calabria deals with their wingers pressing them for a full 90, they're so leaky I'm praying they dont let in at least 2. Pulisic and Leao gonna be the keys to getting us goals. ✊🏼

  13. Flipping Reijnders and RLC’s positions was actually a great call. Hope it continues. Agree about Tammy just being the center forward Milan needed.

Also agree about Puli needing to be consistent in the bigger games (maybe Lazio where he drew like 3 red cards was the “biggest” match where he was really good).

  14. Based on the results, Fonseca did exactly what was needed when he benched Theo and Leao. The point of such a "dramatic" move is that they weren't playing with any kind of desire or fire. After that, they've been playing as they should. If they put together half of Puli's consistent effort desire and effectiveness over an extended period… then I'll say they've completely learned the lesson. But clearly hand holding and coddling is not what those 2 players need.

  15. Great win, but venezia was terrible. Im still very scared of our defensive fragility because Royale is just not good. Fofana also isn’t winning tackles and interceptions, so i pray our midfield doesn't get overun. Lets up we create chances and are clinical in the next 2 games.

  16. Fofana is definitely our new Kessie. Watch some old videos of Kessie and watch the match from Fofana. They’re not identical but they’re very similar. Fofana knows how to cover the back line, something we haven’t had in forever. He knows how to patrol just above the defensive line which will be invaluable in tougher matches. He can also carry the ball well and hit a decent pass. These were all the things Kessie did that made our midfield solid. If Fofana’s form stays good we will have a solid midfield this season

  17. I was thinking about it during the match and comparing the squad that won the title and this squad and it’s very interesting. The only starters that remain from the title winning season are Maignan, Tomori, Theo, Bennacer and Leao. And Bennacer might not start if RLC performs consistently. There’s been a lot of changes and it’s hard to say the team is definitively better. Pulisic is 100% a better player than Alexis. But comparing RLC/Reijnders/Fofana to Bennacer/Tonali/Kessie is difficult. And Royal is hardly an upgrade from Calabria. Abraham/Morata I think is worth comparing to Zlatan/Giroud especially considering Zlatan was injured most of that season. If we can get the midfield firing on all cylinders, if Royal and Pavlovic can step up and become solid players, and if our strikers score plenty of goals then I think this Milan team can do very well. It’s also still quite a young team. Many of these players can be in their prime for another 3-5 years. With the quality of the players I think Milan can easily be champions and be a real contender in the UCL for years to come. Thats my optimistic take at least.

  18. People still need too stop protecting leao like he is untouchable… dude played like ass for 3 games straight and deserved too be dropped… nobody on this squad is untouchable if they are constantly playing. Like ass
