  1. Simon can say what he likes but he’s achieved more in one tournament than Simon in his whole football involvement and Southgate is almost certainly wealthier than Jordan.

Also, Southgate didn’t bankrupt his supposed favourite team.

By any measure outside moderate financial success, Simon has achieved very little.

Talks about football – achieved nothing
Talks about money – lost most of it
Talks about boxing – has never stepped in a ring
Talks about law – never qualified

Nothing but a gobshite tabloid talking head

  2. Southgate, the rubbish clueless yet the luckiest England manager ever! It's like having Mr Bean driving for the Ferrari F1 team ffs! Absolute mental!

  3. Simon at his best!!
Much prefer his passionate & common sense expressions about football than making his himself look silly with his limited boxing knowledge

  4. ā€˜Any interest from Premiership clubs Gareth?’ ……just say ā€˜no’, Gareth. These clubs can see exactly the same flaws that Simon and countless others can see. Gareth had a fantastic crop of players but he was not a top coach

  5. Southgate is an England legend. Now whether that represents our lack of achievement or progress of our team is up for debate. I was at the euro final v Spain. It’s quite simple. Wait for ancelotti or pep if not carsley. We can look back in 2027 regretting going for a top manager rather than flunking 2026 for carsley.

  6. He was awful as Boro manager, awful with a generational England squad and the most favourable draws in living memory in international football and he’ll be awful IF he’s given a premiership club to Manage … that’s why he’s looking at some overplayed roll ā€œoutside of footballā€ … he’ll be a motivational speaker or some other woke rubbish .. and that’s all he’s ever been

  7. Still angers me to think back at Southgate in charge of England – terrible tactician and lacked courage as a manager
Have watched England in tournaments since 1986 and all I will remember from Southgate’s time is anger, disappointment and missed opportunities
Wouldn’t wish him on any club

  9. Its an idiotic argument Jordan peddles here…we made the progress and went deep in 4 tournaments. That is NOT mediocre. Crystal Palace under his stewardship WAS mediocre. His handling of the finances of that club WAS awful. So stop sh%tting on others when you achieved NOTHING significant in football

  10. Third stop at the northern end of the Piccadilly tube line in London, sums it up.
A third rate mediocre "coach". Incapable of being proactive. Reactive against Croatia, Italy
and France. But to be fair he could tell the time. EXACTLY 60 minutes to substitute the lame
Harry Kane. EXACTLY 70 minutes to bring on Cole Palmer.
Against Croatia it took until the 90th minute for him to realize that Ashley Young was being run
ragged . When EVERYBODY with any tactical knowledge knew that Croatia were bound to
    equalize because of this.
Yes . it would of taken more savvy to realize that Harry Kane should not of taken the SECOND
penalty against his Spurs goalkeeper. This may confuse you. BUT you need to check the stats
of ,in Internationals of players taking penalties against their club team mates. NOT in a million
    years would of known this.

  11. Southgate was not a good Manager, don't fool yourselves. Anytime they played a decent side, they got beat. If I'm wrong, I await Arsenal, Chelsea, City and United fans, even Villa and Spurs fans to bounce on here and proclaim how much they'd love him as their Manager. I doubt Middlesbrough fans would want him
