We sat down with dynamic midfielder Lucas Torreira to learn more about his journey to Arsenal.

The Uruguay international was signed from Sampdoria in July 2018 after representing his country at the World Cup in Russia, where he featured in all five matches as they progressed to the quarter-finals.

Since joining the club, Torreira has displayed his combative nature, as well as his eye for a goal, notably in the north London derby against Tottenham Hotspur at Emirates Stadium.

  1. We are so lucky to have this unbelievable player in our team. He has been our best signing. In fact he has been the PL's best signing i dare anyone to tell me a reason why he isn't. We need to give him a lifetime contract before Barca and Madrid come calling. COYG

  2. With Emery common sense has made a return to the team. Fans knew what was missing. That edge, that pressing. Those explicit instructions rather than intelligent players making decisions on the pitch in the moment (Wenger method).

  3. There aren't many opportunities in Uruguay? In my country its worse, almost every Nigerian guy wants to play football, I gave up the dream years ago. just seems too out of reach for me, another stumbling block is my dad isn't really a football fan. oh well life goes on.

  4. I really like this guy even though I’m not an Arsenal fanπŸ‘†πŸ‘ and it’s so ridiculous how some people are snubbing off Kante, some petty Arsenal fans taking it too far.

  5. Wow! Amazing journey, thanks Arsenal. Although I'd never wanted to become a football player, this one is very inspiring–that we're all in our struggle like him. And it's about us to gain more and more but keep being humble as a human. Thanks Torreira you had reminded me once again about this stuff.
