  1. I believe neymar is finished, people think he miraculously come back ready and fit after a year out of playing. He is no longer a spring chicken and was never really determinant as people make him out to be. Always broken when he was needed to most. The thing is that because brasil has falling so deep in mediocrity that he is the best they got in this weak generation.

  2. People only realising now how special Neymar is. Brazil wont have another Ney for a long time. Endrick, Vini, Rodrygo, none of them are touching Neymar at the same age.

  3. Really? The guy who lead Brazil to the biggest football embarrassment in Brazilian footballing history? That Neymar. Leave the guy alone and let him embarass himself in Saudi.

  4. It´s very funny here for me as a German. You guys who call out for Neymar, the rolling joke of the 21st century who NEVER played consistently, especially not in big games and only went for money, should be your savior? Just how deep have you sunk? This guy is a joke since more than 8 years now since he left Barcelona and even in 2015 he played not really well, thatswhy he left Barcelona. He showed good basic elements in 2014, but was never able to play at a constant level. Brazils big mistake always is to rely on solo plays, because it worked in the past. But Brazil didn´t realized footballs evolution. When Brazil won the world cup 2002, defensive lines weren´t as compact and players were playing 1vs1 and not in compact lines. That worked for individual skills. But this time is gone. Since 2008, I would say, when Barcelona and Spain implemented Tiki-Taka. Most teams now in Spain, Germany and Italy know how to counter-defend. National teams mostly also do. Brazil has no concept against it, also not Argentina. Thatswhy they´ve lost their ground. Calling for a Neymar who just was the MAIN problem makes me smile…

  5. Neymar is not the answer.
I can go back as far as the 60's and remember all too well the footballing lesson Brazil gave Nations in the 1970 World Cup and others, also making Italy look 2nd rate and I know that Football is all about swings and roundabouts, but the current Brazil Squad is a far cry from that.
I am just wondering if Europe is to blame.
All Brazilian Footballers worth their salt seem to go to top European Clubs these days, where their flair and freedom of expression is stifled.
Brazilian Football is all about freedom of expression, fun, flair, the willingness to excite, all of that seems to have been taken out of them.
Watching Brazil play now and it is lifeless.
I think my friend expressed it perfectly when he said:: "Watching this lot, it is more like looking at a Funeral than a Rio Carnival".
    Amen to that.
