    Nikola Vlašić, devetogodišnji brat naše atletske zvijezde Blanke, velika je nogometna nada. Mladi talent zaintrigirao je i našeg izbornika Slavena Bilića.
    – Mali Nikola je čudo. Vidio sam ga uživo i oduševio me. Igrao je jedanput protiv mojeg sina. Njegova je momčad pobijedila 7-1. Zapravo, Nikola je sam pobijedio, zabio je puno golova – ispričao je Bilić.
    Time je dobio još jedan dokaz za tezu koju često ponavlja.
    – U Hrvatskoj je talenata uvijek bilo i bit će. Mi smo, jednostavno, takva nacija – kaže izbornik i tvrdi da se ne moramo brinuti za nogometnu budućnost.

      have a look at that kid–matteo 7–,apparently has been invited to clubs at only 7 years old,, is has great skills with both feet,,NIKOlA WILL BE A STAR NO DOUBT

      ever heard of Daniel Addo, or Mohammed Kathiri, or James Will? These guys were voted player of the tournament at the U17 Fifa world championships in 1995,1993 and 1989. Where are they now? Nowhere – It means very little how good a player is at such a young age.You can be the best 17 year old in the world and not make it, never mind being 'the next ronaldinho'

      The best thing about this kid compared to most of the "Next Ronaldinhos" that I have seen is that he defends. If you want to be a great soccer player, you have to do it all… Juggling is neat… dribbling and passing, important. But if you want to be GREAT (not good, great) you have to defend AND play great offense.

      Way too young to make a judgement but certainly has skills. He could turn out to be useless in another 8 or 10 years however, time will tell.
