Problem Arsenal is facing is lack of an early goal. Last season we got early goals from Saliba and Gabriel and this forced teams to play giving space. In such we scored 4 or more

I think we saw the best of Martinelli 2 seasons ago when he was being supported by Xhaka in the left 8. Xhaka was consistently able to get him the ball in dangerous positions. Hoping Merino slotting into the left 8 once he returns from injury will have the same effect.
Great video. Martinelli knows Trossard is trusted to deliver, and he usually does which has caused him to lose some confidence in his own abilities – which is insane to us as fans. Its hard to judge him at a whim though, when he is an elite athlete, at the highest levels of the game but he does seem to be struggling with the yips. Its unquantifiable so videos aplenty trying to understand systems and process because that's what we do. Mans has the yips. He over-compensates and not allowing his instinctive and unpredictable football, what we love him for, and takes that little longer to make a decision or none at all. Kai havertz had the Yips early last season. The gave him the penalty and support, love and patience – he got through it. Arteta is hoping Martinelli can get through it by sheer force of will.
