The English national team is disrespected by the UK media. They just came second in the Euros and instead of being given a welcome home as heroes the manager was hounded out of a job. In other European countries this would not have happened. So if Ben White does not want to dedicate his time to playing for the England team and perhaps receiving this treatment or for some other reason then so be it. He is free to do so.
Fair enough if he does not want to play for his country, it is his loss and not England's there are better players than him out there so just leave it alone !!!!!

Even before he made himself ‘unavailable’, when he was performing as the 2nd best right back in the league, Southgate still wasn’t calling him up so he wouldn’t be getting called up anyway

Wish all the players from my club would make themselves unavailable for their national sides. Thought for a long time national sides should have their own players exclusively signed to them, so when they get injured it does not impact club sides.
