What's yal talk about, I don't get it you should blame referee not following the rules, why he didn't Pedro a yellow card for kicking a ball outside like 15 yards I don't get it
Terrible refereeing every year they do this to Arsenal…this made me stop watching.cplayers work their whole lives to be the best…these refs are terrible
WTF, the rule books are clear and the Ref was brilliant following the rule book. Stop privileging high paid players , if it was a low paid African or south American player you goons will be praising the Ref.
The more you revisit the incident the more you blame the referee.
The fact that Kavanaugh is not apologising does not rule out the fact that he was right. The man should not be allowed to referee Arsenal the rest of tge season.
Speaking of consistency football is not black and white so discretion forms a major component of refereeing why consistency can never be achieved. Declan Rice created a situation (faking an injury, kicking the ball thus delaying the restart) for the referee to exercise his discretion which didn’t go DR way. DR has only himself to blame. Lastly Arsenal is not a clean team why they never win trophies.
Rice was wasting time and he should have gone out of the way
Arsenal supporters are acting like Arteta again: Blame everyone else except for yourself. Thankfully, Rice is better than that and actually has integrity because he admitted in his post-match interview that he deserved the yellow.
"I’ve touched the ball with the outside of my foot. But look, this is the laws of the game. If you touch ball away, even a little bit, obviously it’s a red card after my challenge in the first half which I fully accept was a 50-50 that I didn’t win."
Different scenarios but weekend before, McGinn boots the ball at Saliba and White retaliates. then a few handbags and Oliver comes across, calms it down and no yellows – common sense but let's see how many times in next 35 game weeks the officials apply the rules consistently
There is no debate here, it should have been a yellow for Pedro, a second yellow for Rice and a red for Veltman. We are heading for another PGMOL masterclass this season where they are going to talk s***t on sky for the next remaining months.
The ref took the chance to be the main character. He basically told Rice that, " Well, this is the new law. You guys were briefed before the start of the season. I will show you what we can do now."
Also, pretty sure he flashed that yellow, just so that he can flash that red too.
Pathetic English refereeing..
If you lay down a precedent early in the game (jao pedro) whether it was the right or wrong precedent, should be upheld for the other team later in the game for fairness.
No ones mentioning how Veltman planted his foot in-between Rices right foot and the ball and kicks through Rice while looking at him, not the ball
why not just say ref was a match fixer u cowards
Rules are in place to make sure the game flows and is entertaining and fair… I can’t see how this decision ticked any of those boxes.
“Letter of the law” is still open to interpretation- every law is. Ref didn’t have to at all – no one would have complained one bit if he didn’t card him. So why did he do it? Ego – that’s why
The Ref ruined a good game…Red cards should be preserved for bigger offenses inconsistency included…it shows how PGMOL is rotten to the core and ruining the league all together
First of all, It’s a yellow card !
Corruption, end of
Arsenal have a win rate of 71.1% in the past to seasons and its always drops to 52.6% in games refed by Chris kavangha
Bottom line. The ref is an amateur
By the letter of the law you have to take the freekick where the foul has taken place, you can't choose and pick what you do by the letter of the law, either you do everything or you f off.
Pedro kicked the ball away and didn't get a card, but when Rice tapped the ball away, he got a yellow card. It's funny because it happened in the same game. this is crazy bro 😂😂🤣🤣
