Personally, I would have gone for Atletico's Jose Gimenez as he is a better defender if Kalidou was not available or possible.

The simple fact is city needed to off load a player before they could buy one, sevilla was offered the same deal with Otamendi and they rejected it, benfica said get the planes ready lol simple.
They wanted to get otamendi out so benfica was the only one agreed

Important fact is Man City and Guardiola should get the best out of Dias.
